RE: Pro Evolution Soccer 2013
I've played the first demo of Pro Evo 2013 and its a huge improvement, first of all they really have stepped up the graphics and actually look life like and even the people in the crowd. The controls have really been improved with 360 degree control over the football so depending on how you hit the ball changes the direction of the ball, you also have now manual shooting so you can pretty much score from any where on the pitch even from your own half if you hit the ball right and with the right amount of power. The biggest improvement for me has been the amount of control you have over your player you can run towards someone start doing step overs and tricking the players into going in the wrong direction. With stronger players you can actually have your back to goal and use your strength to hold up the ball until one of your team mates turn up and you can get team mates to move into any position you want. Now the demo didn't have any commentary and you could only play as select number of international teams the second demo coming out will allow you to play as more teams. Now the downside with the pro evo games is that its never had the same amount of modes or teams as fifa nor is the presentation of the game is good as Fifa's which looks like your watching a game on sky sports with the commentary and getting trivia depending on what team your playing and of course update kits and more teams to play with. if had to be really honest with Pro Evo 2013 it feels a lot more natural then Fifa does i love how you can do extra touches on the ball, use the strength of your player and more variation in shooting, you can actually flick up the ball and volley into the net of flick the ball over someones head and the more skillful players trick there way past players without even moving. Its just a shame that Pro Evo will always second fiddle to Fifa these days it didn't help that when Pro Evo moved to the next gen consoles i.e PS3 and 360 and they just ported the game from the PS2 version which totally messed the series up and now there playing catch up only just got round to with last couple versions with building it from the ground to fit the next gen consoles, if could bump up the game modes, more teams, better commentary it could really take on Fifa which i think year after year there offering you less and less and don't seem to be adding much new which is shame as i really love Fifa i just wish would offer more so the game could feel more natural. can't wait to try out the Fifa 13 demo as well
