Blu Ray Recommendations

Jaws. one of the all time great films finally comes out on bluray and you get quite a lot for your money. you get jaws on bluray and its been digitally restored and remastered, 4 hours of extras including some exclusive to bluray. also get a digital copy of the film and an ultraviolet copy of the film

Piranha 3DD the sequel to Pirhana 3D that had kelly brook in it. also get a good amount for your money. 3D bluray version of the film, 2D bluray version and a good amount of extras. a perfect saturday evening film

Play.com have added some more films as steel books the first one is The Shawshank Redemption: Steelbook (Blu-ray & DVD) thats out the 22nd of october at £17.99, Snow White And The Huntsman: Steelbook Collector's Box Set out on the 1st October at £29.99, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial: Steelbook Edition (With UltraViolet Digital Copy) 22nd of october at £19.99 and the one on top my list is James Bond Goldeneye as steel book on blu ray and thats a play exclusive at £11.99 and thats out on the 10 of december, am hoping its the uncut version like the 2 disc dvd one.

More news on The Amazing Spiderman on blu ray it now comes with a ultraviolet, even the dvd version does. At he moment the cheapest place to get it online is blockbuster at £13.99, Play.com have there exclusive which you get a different cover and art cards at £14.99 and HMV where i pre ordered mine have a steel book version of the film along with a ultraviolet copy out to buy on the 26th of november. If you get the Avengers from sainburys you get a extra disc with a 90 min documentary of the film, but am sticking to the HMV steelbook version out on the 17th september.

Just one week to go until the release of The Avengers. Can't wait to see this again. Been ordered and paid for two months ago
Sainsbury's are advertising it with an exclusive to them only, extra 30 minute documentary on the blue ray.

i pre ordered the steel book version but am not happy that cut out half the extras out, no dvd or digital copy of the film and region 1 version has you would have thought with such a big film they would have pulled out all the stops.

yeah im not happy about that either, but will probably still get it, hope disney will do what paramount did with dark of the moon and release a version full of extras a few months later but i doubt it

I already said that in a past post its not impossible that could happen but bare in mind its Disney not Paramount and as i previously said Datk of The Moon was a little different as they actually admitted they were releasing a bare bones blu ray with a future edition being full of extras so you had a choice of either getting or waiting, i made the choice to wait for second version the same with Lord of Rings films where you had the choice of picking up the normal edition or waiting for the extended edition.

After watching it again last night i recommend a must see for any motorsport fan and for any one else, Closer to the Edge. I saw it at the cinema and not being in 3d makes very little difference. A great docu-film.

Immortals (Triple Play)

Picture quality on this disc is just sumptious, along with great sound, and very decent extras, if you like greek myths and the film 300, this is one disc you must certainly own.

I highly recommend the film Safe starring Jason Statham on blu ray, the picture quality is very good a 1080p transfer so images always look sharp, clear and very detailed not hint of grain in sight so fast moving images always look smooth. Now the sound is pure quality seeing as the sound mix is 5.1 DTS-HD track so it sounds crystal clear and well balanced. Theres a few extras but not a lot, its a little disappointing that it doesn't come with a digital copy like its region 1 counter part, apart from that its worth picking up if your a Jason Statham and if you like action films plus places like Sainsburys are selling it for £9.99 .
