England's Tour of India 2012

England go 1 up with a 9 run victory in the 1st ODI with India.They are now ranked No.1.

England had lost 16 of their last 18 ODIs in India and 2 defeats out of 2 in warm-up matches did not auger well, but Tredwell with 4/44 held India back when it looked as though they might be on their way to their target. Patel too made a big difference with quick runs at the end of England's innings and the 2 last overs tell a story - England got 18 off their last over and India made 8 off their last as England won by 9 runs.

A measure of how well thought of Joe Root is by England is that he has now made his debut in all 3 forms of the game in such a short space of time.

India level the ODI Series 1-1 with a 127 run win. India 285-6 England 158 all out.

England well beaten with only making 158 - their 3rd lowest total in ODIs against India.

England managed to keep India in check in the field,but had no answer for Dhoni & more surprisingly Jadeja,as (6 runs came in the last 10 overs (68 in the last 5). At 58-1 with Cook & KP looking good the chase seemed on.But when kumar dismissed Cook,who got a bad decision,followed by a bad shot by Pietersen & the Morgan it looked all over.Kumar bowled his 10 over on the bounce 10-2-29-3.The runs dried up when Root & Kieswetter tried to consolidate 7 the asking rate got out of hand.Patel had some fun slogging with the tail & must come in above Kiewetter who is under pressure from Butler as he is still incapable of turning the strike over.

There were several bad umpiring decisions in the last game..
England had about 3 bad breaks and India a couple. Dhoni was caught behind the stumps when he was still in single figures but was not given out.

The intimedating conditions don't help the umpires get the correct results..

So it's time that all countries used the technology available.

India don't want it,the ICC have no balls,most of the other nations suck up to India because they have the money.It's a joke,you can't have a sport were one side gets their own way & does what they want.It's getting as bad as Fergie & Man U.

The 3rd ODI takes place tomorrow when they play the first International match in Ranchi Dhoni's home town.I doubt that an injury scare when he was hit on the thumb in practice will prevent him playing,He's on fire at the minute & this is all England need with extra inspiration.

India win the toss 7 Elect to bowl, they field an unchanged side,while England have Bresnan back replacing Woakes.
