Getting Tevez's wages off the books is the big thing - transfer fee and wages combined is £30m. That's the main thing.

Yeah we can afford Cavani's release clause but at some point you have to stop just paying whatever crazy figure somebody quotes and start being serious and try to get things in order. Anybody that pays £52m for Cavani is a mug and we're trying to change that perception of ourselves in the transfer market. Believe it or not. Lol.

Otherwise we would of triggered Isco's release clause a month ago and Cavani's. 3 years ago we definitely would of! Lol. Not any more though.

I don't think we're even interested in Cavani anymore anyway, think we have moved on.

Thiago Alcantara has told Barcelona that he wants to leave and join Man United. He is believed to have agreed terms already. Barcelona have tried to keep him but cannot guarantee him enough games given the established midfielders they already have. I really hope this comes true as he is an exciting young player. Bayern have shown interest too but he wants to come to United. That will do for me.
United are allegedly also close to signing PSV midfielder Kevin Strootman on a 5 year contract.

Arsenal are also on the verge of signing Higuain. He will be a major coup for them.

Kevin Ratcliffe has stated that United had a £12 million offer for Baines rejected but expects £15 million will secure a move.

Reports suggesting David Villa likely to sign for Spurs. He has broadly agreed terms but Spurs want to get the price reduced from £12 million. Fiorentina are also after him but he is allegedly favouring Spurs. If they keep Bale and get him and Paulinho they will be a force to reckon with next season.

if I was Evertons management I would say to United 18million or he stay if Joe Allen is worth 15million Baines is easily worth 18 - 20 million, he was Europes most creative player last season beating messi, xavi, ronaldo, iniesta... he is Englands best left back.

Barcelona have allegedly resigned themselves to losing Thiago Alcantara to Man United. He is keen on the move as it will guarantee him more first team minutes. It's also alleged that he has agreed terms in principle with United, tripling his current salary to 120k. Will only truly believe it when I see him at Old Trafford, wearing the shirt!
