This is utter nonsense, someone is spinning a yarn.

Ofcom has no jurisdiction over the Internet. Even if Sexstation has a TV channel what they do on the web makes absolutely no difference to what the produce on TV. Think of the other Sky stations that also have a web presence, Babestation for example. They have very explicit shows on the web but not on TV.

Not sure who is trying what but if this is the excuse someone in Sexstation either doesn't know their business or is doing it for some other reason.

hiya every1 we r being carefull at the mo as we have had a warning from ofcom (as all the channels have)and another company has just recived a £26000 fine for there web show as they advertise it on the 3 to view sky shows the same as us, and ofcom r saying they will fine sex station or blue kiss show if we continue to promote the web show on our sky channels.
we r in the process of changing the graphics on the sky shows this week, thats y we can only do closed legs nude, but if u wont more than that go on to our cam chat or 3g.
if we do open legs or rubbing minge we become an over 18 r show we will get fined or closed down so ofcom tell us, but we r looking at ways to get round this.

that does suck but atleast its only the tv adds.

OfCom recently fined TVX/Portland £25,000 for having a link in a TV show to their website, which had one minute hardcore samplers. Yes, OfCom don't monitor the web, just any TV channel that advertises a link, and perhaps that link too.

Remember, OfCom get their steer from the politicians. They have tightened up every single year in their existence, without any change in the law, a single court case to justify that, or even a new public opinion survey. It's about time we got back and asked exactly whose morality they are implementing.

Thanks so much for the previous comments, it sounds like you know a lot of details which are all correct, thanks much appreciated. We are putting our heads together to come up with a solution to get our web show back to normal, so hopefully it will only be tempory. All here are hoping to come up with a solution this week so please keep an eye out.

Pedantically Ofcom is not monitoring the Internet but the links advertised on the TV, but in this case it amounts to the same thing. So an unreserved apology is winging its way to you. The only problem is that apologising for anything at the moment makes me sound like I've just ordered a duck house on expenses...
