RE: Scottish Football
Now that the dust has settled I must admit that it's very bad for our top league to losing 2 of our oldest clubs in Scotland. Statistically speaking it's also the first time in the history of the top division that no club within Edinburgh will be representing the city.

Anybody who thinks that football is just a game obviously doesn't know what it feels like to be a real supporter. As gutted as I was to lose the Scottish Cup Final it's not end of the world stuff, it's a massive disappointment but not one that is going to ruin my summer. We played, we lost but we can still stand proud for our seasons achievements. We also missed out of European qualification as a consequence of this but in reality the only thing we really lost was a bit of face.

Going to see your side in a Cup Final and a relegation decider couldn't have a more contrasting feel about it. When you know that your team is right in the shitter then pre match is just so tense as opposed to the relaxed carnival atmosphere that a Cup Final brings about. Make no mistake about it we were gutted to lose but I never seen any tears flowing from anybody, we just went ah well............fuck it Wink Just wasn't our day.

In contrast when its relegation it hits you hard but Hib's deserved to go down. They have been atrocious all season, one moment from yesterdays match that really sums up this current Hib's team was when a cross got delivered into the box only to see the striker kick the ball sideways out of the park, he couldn't even kick it in a straight line nevermind testing the keeper.

Hamilton on the other hand were vibrant, positive and played some excellent free flowing passing football which was a joy to watch at times.

Outside the ground after the match the supporters were baying for the blood of the chairman and management and quite rightly so. Butcher has been a disaster for the club and has managed to make an underachieving side go from average to abysmal.

RE: Scottish Football
Hibs lost yet another late goal yesterday once again from a set piece. It was painful to watch as a Hibby Yesterday, hoofball tactics doesn't even begin to cover it.

Pat's football was eye-bleeding at times but at least the defence was stout, Butcher's football is eye-bleed with a defence that is posted missing 9 times out of 10.

Honestly I'd rather have had Pat see out his contract and start the search for a new manager now, chances are we'd not have been anywhere near the play-off place under Fenlon, christ we might even have made it to a 3rd consecutive final and maybe it would have been 3rd time lucky for Hibs in the quest for yon Holy Grail.

I don't know if Butcher is the right man for the job, but getting rid of him probably isn't the right idea, as it just sets the team back even further.

Next year is going to be an incredibly tough fight, but it's going to make for an exciting second tier, the Premiership is going to be dull as fuck next year, Celtic will win it by an even greater margin than this year.

Who cares about Edinburgh when we'll get the all-action thrills of Dundee v Dundee Utd, AND Hamilton v Motherwell? Big Grin

Hearts went down by their own hand. Hibernian ditto. You can bleat about how sad it is for the game, but the blame lies in Edinburgh (and Lithuania, I believe).

I feel more aggrieved for Dunfermline, who deserved better. I'm sure they wouldn't be complaining about playing Hearts and Rangers next season... Wink

One story that continues to dominate Scottish football is the politics at crisis hit club Hibernian.

Chairman Rod Petrie is to meet with members of the supporters' group demanding for his resignation and the removal of Manager Terry Butcher. The club has been described as rotten to the core.

I have to say I can hardly wait to see what kind of battles take place next season. Rangers up until now have breezed their way through the divisions, it was widely expected that their adventure would come to a conclusion come the end of next season and I still think it will. I'll be tipping them to win the Division but they will be made to sweat for it.

My tip for 2nd Spot is Hearts who I think will battle it out and come through next seasons Play Off's successfully. As for Hibs I think they'll be there for 2 seasons. I expect to see all 3 clubs back in the Scottish Premiership come the start of season 2016/17, in saying that what's the odd's that more goal posts will be moved in order for this to happen sooner such as a bigger top division.

Once again nobody is too big to go down. I found this long lost picture of my Dundee United side trudging off the pitch at the end of season 1994/95 after being relegated.

I see grant hanley did to the national side what he did to rovers this season he seems to switch off in the last few mins of games costing us wins instead of draws pity he is an ok player when he wants to be if he could get rid of that aspects he would be a great player hes only 22 so still hope for him

With sponsors like Rover...

Given the way they got their act together late in the season, I'd have confidence that Hearts will be alright next season. Hibernian, perhaps less so.

I always think about clubs like Nottingham Forest or Sheffield Wednesday, who I think of as top-flight teams but who haven't been there properly for ages now.

Though it's not really the same when you've got less teams to fight past. Are Hibernian going to be treading water with the Greenock Mortons of this world for long? I doubt it.
