Some seriously sad news today. Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn has died of cancer. Just 54 years old. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/hall-famer-...--mlb.html

RE: Baseball
Almost a perfect game for Clayton Kershaw for LA Dodgers against Colorado Rockies but for a throwing error by Hanley Ramirez, still credited as a no hitter complete game for Kershaw in 8-0 success

Second no hitter of season by Dodger pitchers after Josh Beckett on May 25th. 1st time 2 no hitters by Dodger pitchers in same season since 1956

Sad to hear of the death of Bobby Castillo at age of 59 from cancer. Was pitcher for Dodgers from 1977-1981 and helped us win 1981 World Series

Mike, do me a favour, PLEASE don't gloat about tonight's game. Only half way through the 1st inning, and the Dodgers are leading Detroit 5-0. I'm almost tempted to turn off the game. Christ, Verlander is having a terrible year !

RE: Baseball
Looks like I spoke WAY to soon. Bottom of the 2nd inning and we've tied it playing great 'small-ball'.

RE: Baseball
I only would have gloated had it is Greinke or Kershaw pitching because they are the only 2 pitchers where a 5-0 lead would be a safe lead

RE: Baseball
Well our two game series has JUST finished. And this was a far more comfortable win for Detroit. Greinke pitched well for LA, probably better than Max Scherzer in all honesty, but your bats let you down again. Still, I'm chuffed. Two straight wins against a fellow World Series contender makes me a happy bunny.

RE: Baseball
Greinke & Kershaw are LA's star pitchers, it is usually a case of whether they get enough run support. Ryu is very up and down, wasn't at all surprised with what happened last night.
