RE: Elite TV/Studio66 - Live Webstream
Be aware that that worked for me may not work for you.
I used a small program called MiniToolbox to reset my proxy settings.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/
I would always recommend a full malware scan as you never know what aliens have joined your party.
https://www.malwarebytes.org/downloads/
But BEFORE you do any of this.......
On the main home page, if you can see any info above the green 'Tribute Boxes' - I had a totally black box with no info or telephone number - the issue is not a http proxy like I had.
If you have a rotating wheel below the video screen on the webshow window it means that the firestorm server is not responding to your system. Again, this is NOT a http proxy issue like I had.
Also bear in mind that, from home, in normal circumstances, you will not be using a http proxy. In IE you can go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections. If the settings button is not accessable then as far as IE is concerned there is no proxy.
That was the case with me. After the Malware scan I had a message that the proxy could not be accessed. That is when I ran the toolbox to reset the ports.

RE: Elite TV/Studio66 - Live Webstream
^^^
Not really a coincidence, its is a result of moving their streams to the new server.
2 Webshows not happening, Technically, it was 3 not happening. Tara, Hanna and Mica. I consider missed webshows par for the weekend schedule. A pain, but they've done it so regularly, I expect less of them.
A server well maintained shouldn't have problems. I know the ones I run don't have issues till someone tries to run something not intended to be run on servers. It is either a lack of experience or bad equipment. Both are fixes that can be done with either a little training or replacing the faulty equipment.
Heck, a well maintained computer system shouldn't almost ever have issues or have minimal downtime. If you have problems on your own system, you lack knowledge about the limits of your system or you lack proper maintenance skills to prevent issues from popping up in you computer in the first place.
If you were a betting person, you might end up shirtless. Problems like this if they can't solve it is a couple of weeks or a month is going to be a long lasting problem. They've had 8 weeks to find and resolve it so it doesn't consistently disrupt a webstream that they have no issues running during the day, or the rest of the week.
My guess is someone using the server for purposes not intended for a server and disrupting the stream in doing so.
I'm for visually stimulating shows.
