This Forum and Virgin Media...

Anybody having problems with this site and Virgin Media?

I'm on a cable connection and in the past couple of weeks have been unable to access this site at all, it just times out.

I thought the actual forum had went down altogether, but as you can see when I go through a proxy server I can get on fine.

I tried changing to OpenDNS and this did not help so it seems the problem is virgin blocking the traffic to the IP or something.

am using virgin media and no probs at all, no use i know! soz!

Do you get the same problem when using the site's real address? http://74.55.49.18/

I am also using Virgin Media, and there's no problem.

i sometimes have a little trouble with them, on my old imac it used to right play up with them. Ever since i started your using my new imac its been working fine. Skateguy is right guy to ask, if any one knows how to fix it its him .

I had tried that already.

The browser just stays on "tranferring data" the page name loads in the tab though.

it's not a DNS error, I tried OpenDNS.

The IP must be being throttled severley at all times, it used to be fine, it just went funny a few weeks back.

I'm hardly going to contact them about this specific site though am I

What happens if you go to http://www.babechannels.co.uk and try to get into the forum from there? Does that URL work?

That link works fine.

All the links (videos etc) from that page work, but when I click on the forum option I get to here.

Try different browsers, like all 3 big ones:

Firefox
Opera

You will of course have either Internet Explorer or Safari pre-installed depending if you are windows or Mac.

*EDIT: In the small chance that you are a fellow Linux user try konqueror, Links and Lynx and ... many many more.
