RE: General Election Vote
I think that the UKIP movement is dead in the water now, they are effectively finished in my opinion as a party. I actually think that they gained a lot of votes from former Labour supporters.
Once the Labour Party regroups under a more charismatic leader with a vision similar to Blair pre Iraq Invasion then I also feel they will rise from the ashes once again. Labour still have hope to convince people up here north of the border but the Tories have none.
I know that I'm an SNP supporter but I do have a lot of respect too for the Labour Party after them being pivotable in securing devolution for the Scottish people so because of that I'll always have a healthy respect for them. UKIP seized upon an opportunity because the Labour party were in disarray but in 5 years time I suspect when people mention the name Nigel Farage that they'll then ask the question who was he again.
I laughed my arse off when he lost his seat, normally I'd never cheer a Torie on but on this occasion I did. So glad that his constituency seen through his bullshit with his obvious bigoted and racist agenda. Good riddance to the lout

RE: General Election Vote
I have absolutely no problem with people making money even bankers, they can only get away with screwing us over if the authorities allow them to do so and Labour were quite happy to let them do so while they were in power. Being on the side of the rich is one thing, being on their side while pretending your not is another. As for Farage i voted UKIP because they had the best manifesto of all the parties, no tax on the first £13,500 taking millions of people out of paying income tax altogether, giving the NHS £3billion pounds a year extra, a points based immigration system, stopping health tourism, rebuilding our armed forces, scrapping both the bedroom tax and the disgusting atos tests. Their manifesto was the only one of all parties that was fully costed and independently verified.

RE: General Election Vote
Lance I hear what you're saying but Adolf Hitler and the Nazis also had a lot of good polices too when people were able to look past their obvious anti Semitic agenda, also even in the very unlikely event that UKIP ever did secure enough votes to form a Government the Queen can always refuse as its written in the constitution that it's her that affectively chooses the Government.
Also once again no invite for Farage from the Queen for the VE Celebrations. UKIP to me are the equivalent to what the Nazi Party were to the Germans and we as a nation would never be duped like they were you can be rest assured

Didn't they get 4 milion of a 60 odd % turn out? that's actually a very good spring board, assuming of course that Ukip and SNP are not all protest votes and next time will be busniss as usual.

RE: General Election Vote
With regards to the UKIP policy on a points scored immigration law well in theory that's something I agree with. I don't think it's right that unskilled immigrants from Poland should be offered a job over somebody born and bred in the UK. Sure it's cheaper for the Company and the economy to hire someone for cheap labour but it hardly seems fair when you look at the rising unemployment in some areas as a result of this.
I do however agree with immigration if the case is justified such as fear of oppression or arrest simply for having different views to the county they live in so I have absolutely no problem in this scenario and neither do I also when it comes to skilled workers from overseas as we currently have a shortage in doctors as an example.
Also if somebody wishes to come to the UK in order to start up their own business then also fair play to them as it's good for the economy. UKIP may talk a good game and come across as reasonable on immigration but in practice if they ever got into Government we all know that this would never be a reality. I'm in favour of sensible immigration controls not ones that are based on the colour of their skin which UKIP would implement.

He's corrected it, edited and tidied it up from the original, barely literate mess.
