Shock horror - price comparison websites just show stuff they're paid commission to

Well right up there with bears in woods and the religious persuasion of the Pope, today's manufactured media gnashing of teeth story is that price comparison sites don't necessarily show all the options for financial savings products from those available in their results and generally favour the companies that pay commission.

And there's actually no regulation of comparison websites anyway.

The miserable misanthropist in me thinks if you're trusting a cartoon with frizzy hair or a fucking meerkat you probably deserve to be diddled ?

But then again, it's not like the actual providers of services these days make their products easy to compare with each other, or hide loads of stuff in screeds of small print ?

And here's a Tory treasury minister on the news arguing for market regulation - now I've seen everything !

If it's got to the stage where we can't trust Meerkats than I reckon civilization is doomed.
