Mclroy's great run came to an end and he went back to level par for the week.
The winner was American Jordan Spieth who ended up at -5

Rory McIlroy has started his 3rd round charge at the US PGA Championship. From 9 shots off the lead at -2 he is 4 under after 5 holes and now trails overall by 5 shots at -6.

Stunning golf at the US PGA 3rd round at Whistling Straits.
So many top players at the top of their game.
A whole load of birdies and eagles on a brilliant course.
Justin Rose in contention as is Jordan Spieth seeking his 3rd major of 2015.
Jason Day leads with Martin Kaymer and Brandon Grace amongst others all in with a great chance too.
Should be a belter of a final round.

Kinda pleased for Jason "smug-face" Day, and Australia generally. At least having had to put up with commentators bleating about how successful he's been in Majors without winning one, he's now done so.
