From the producer's side there might still be a fear of getting busted.

You may recall, some years ago now, when the studio was raided live on tv. Twas never the same after.

I know Amy and Ali are doing some good shows in the early spot at the moment, but that can only last for so long, before people get bored of seeing the same thing day after day. If they don't get some new girls soon, this channel is going to die.

that was when they also did the HC shows

we're only talking about letting the girls do more teasing and bringing in some variety

Technically, the 4 AM shows operate at the edge of very restrictive laws, and the boss' (not the producers') concern is that they will be shut down, but there have been too many breast-flashing shows with no real consequences to believe that is an imminent concern. I think the boss should be more concerned with the way he is treating the girls - in my opinion harshly and unfairly causing some to quit - and the persistent problems putting out a consistent, high-quality product, and that means 4AM shows that can be awesome or dreadful (depending on whether the boss is looming over them and censoring them or not); technical glitches, especially with the webstream (as Rich notes, down again for the second straight day); and not being able to get two girls to cover a shift.

So what other reason could there is there is a fear about being shut down ?

I recall the HC shows but not when they appeared. Certainly the all-night show stopped after the local police became 'interested'. There was one IIRC last year but in the extended shows around Christmas nothing happened although the 'law' allowed for it.

UK broadcasting law certainly allows for full topless up to 5.30. Channels will stop before that time so not to go over that time.

I just think that local issues play a part. I know of an example of that when two of the ETV/Eurotic producers left that company and started their own service. In their country, they operate 'below the law'. It was even suggested that the local boss had to bribe the police not to have any problems. But at the time the rival service started, Eurotic were informed that their day service had to be clothed and the boss, probably to this day, thinks that they were reported to the broadcasting authorities by their rivals. His 'revenge' was to inform his police friends who raided the rival's place of work, found naked ladies present and thought an illegal brothel was being operated. I just wonder what the local police thought, or indeed believed, when they raided the AC studio.

I think the Thai law IS the reason for the boss to believe AC could be shut down; but despite flashing and toplessness that hasn't happened. The fear that I consider more realistic is that AC becomes a losing business proposition, and that is why I wish the powers that be at AC would pay more attention to taking care of the girls they have and recruiting new girls who really know how to entertain; making sure the webstream always works; etc. If you sift through old posts, the infamous raid, according to the producer who at the time posted to this forum, was caused by someone alleging to local authorities that a drug ring and brothel were being run out of the studio. So it's something like what you describe for ETV. I don't know who those rivals might have been, but you're right that it was some kind of local issue.

I hope AC can get back to the nice place it was, say, in spring 2015, when it was putting out sexy shows and the large cast of girls was stable with two girls available for every shift and several trying to get more shifts. As I commented back then, there was a nice, homey vibe and the girls seemed to genuinely like working together. Since then, several of the girls who had worked together for years (Cherry, Lisa, Nadia, Angie) have moved on and AC is in a rather difficult transition. I hope the boss will find a way to make that transition back to a fun and welcoming place for the girls to be, rather than a grind. Curly is right that they need more girls to do the 4AM shows (and the shows in general), and along with that there is the danger that they will simply wear girls like Amy and Ali out.
