Not entirely unexpected but sad, Bobby Robson RIP.

That is sad news aldershot1993, Bobby Robson was a great manager not only for all the clubs that he managed but also for England.

Sad news indeed,my condolences to his family and friends.

I am truly heartbroken by Sir Bobby's Passing, he is one of very few people I would outside my family I would shed A tear for (which I am doing now tbh) what he done for my beloved Ipswich Town FC was amazing, he will forever be considered a legend even that seems a rather subtle word for him for to all Town fans he is GOD, I have lost a hero!

Football has lost one of the greatest managers ever, life has lost one of the nicest people ever, R.I.P Sir Bobby

Desperately sad news. What he did at Ipswich was extraordinary and is too often forgotten as they didn't win a Championship title. His spell with England was excellent and cruelly criticised by the press, and anybody who can have such success in different countries deserves great respect. Above all though he was a decent, simply nice man and one who truly loved football. RIP Sir Bobby.

Am extremly underated manager Ipswich were the best team not to have won the championship under Boby Robson.

Also lets not forget he had success with psv, porto, barcelona to name just a few. Look at the fortunes of newcastle since they got rid of him. He turned them round from a ruddeless demoralised outfit(under Guillit) to a genuine top 4 champions league outfit. He had the respect of all his players and based the team around shearer and rob lee who were banished to the fringes by guillit. Newcastle have been no where near the same outfit following his departure and deservedly so.

Fo england he was unappreciated till Grahame Taylor took over then we really did realise how great a manager he was. His integrity humility and love for the game will be greatly missed.
