The "fobbing off" accusation was an outrageous thing to say.

I do not accept the fobbing off comment was outrageous.

Of course it was outrageous. By saying that you are accusing people of fobbing off when they are simply talking about things they care about is wrong.

You were effectively saying that someone who cares about things in the game like desire, like heart, like passion, is wrong to say those things. Of course it's not wrong. If we care about the game, then I would have thought that those things were fundamental to it.

RE: Euro 2016
You care about desire, heart and passion and thats fine.
The point I am making is that I don't believe those things caused the defeat and that the lack of desire and pride thing is too often overplayed and an overused easy accusation with little meaningful evidence to back it up.
If the term fobbing off upsets you then I'm sorry about that.
Maybe misdirected accusation sounds better I don't know.
But either way the lack of desire accusation is too easy a one to make. We are clearly not going to agree on this.
Apologies if you are offended though.

RE: Euro 2016
I don't think the commitment or effort of England's players should be questioned. It usually happens after a poor result though, as it does it other countries. Even Messi gets accused of not trying when Argentina fail to win, which is part of the reason he's retired from international football.

Let's ask the real question of why England were so poor. I think there are several factors, but the lack of composure was particularly shocking. As England sensed that calamity was closing in they simply fell apart under the pressure. The second half was simply an atrocious performance.

Outrageous? Calm down dear. 'Fobbing off' is no more outrageous, some may say less outrageous, than accusing players of not caring or lacking passion. You are obviously very pasionate about the English national team. Couple that with an appreciation of tactical nous and simmer down on the pro charging around the pitch like banshees wins you games mentality and you'll have a coherent view of the game to share with all. #FobbGate

England player are a bunch of over paid over rated bunch of fuckers. That is all of them.

The only reason any of these players are good because of their foreign team mates in their clubs. The foreign players make the Premier Leauge good not these England shit players.

All English players are money grabbing over paid over rated dicks. They have NEVER PLAYED FOR PRIDE AND PASSION. And that is NOT only this team but has been happing for years now.

All these other national players for other countries play for passion and not only for the money.

Until English players play with their hearts and not with their banks they will never win anything.

RE: Euro 2016
I'm not sure we lack talented players in the premier league. I think its a case of finding a way to get them to play together. Take for example Englands world cup exit in the Rugby. Everything was labelled wrong with English rugby from how they were coached and the culture within the team. Yet less than a year we beat Australia 3-0 in their own back yard and the coach Eddie Jones hardly changed a man from the world cup squad. There is something missing in this side that's for sure. They should never have conceded so quickly after they scored. They semed to think well we got an early lead the other team wil have to come at us happy days. Everyone knows the opposition are at their most dangerous just after they conceded

England were a shambles from start to finish! they struggled too much did well during the qualifiers that is not good enough and should do what teams do, save the best form for the tournament but why is it every time most the nation have high expectations of them to do well in events like this? when really they are just a hopeless Football Team bladewave
