What does every one think about The Chat & who is your top presenter!

What I like about the show and what sets it apart from all the other shows is that all the girls are allowed to be themselves and display their own individual personalities. I'm sure the girls on all the other shows have personalities too, but they are made to follow the same old script to 'tease' and entice callers with the same kind of seductive(?) way of talking that only seems to exist on those type of shows, and this is their only interaction with the majority of viewers. .... OK, my favourites are Jo, Layla,Bobbi.Sophie,Suzanne ...oh god I could name them all. Incidentally why is Suzanne on so infrequently (only twice that I know of).

Mr G (are you the same guy as Mr Grr by the way, or is he a stand in for Mr T) ? Below are just some ideas I had, I am not expecting what I suggest to be done of course, as I am just a viewer with no professional knowledge or influence, but if you see anything you think might work, run with it by all means. Please note though, I am more a viewer then a contributor, I know I am probably the person you guys hate the most as I watch but don't join in, but I do really enjoy watching it when I work from home as it is a good background channel. So I hope I am able to pass suggestions from a frequent viewer, although not contributor financially. The only reason I don't join in is money issues really and also the concern that once my mobile number is registered with a premium number that I will be sent and signed up for things I didn't read the small print for (I am not saying The Chat is like this, I just worry about all premium number sign ups).

Your idea of full screen is what I would hope for, they seem so squashed in the top left corner. I like the new colourful background though, much better than the white walls. It went from a plain background, to a fish tank, to a coloured background, which is a good start. EJ had the right idea with her CBBC broom cupboard style poster board. What happened to the video cam by the way ? One day I remember Lydia and EJ were on and EJ was in the top right on the video cam and then the next time I tuned in it was gone. Would interactive service be too expensive to implement (red button) ? I am guessing probably so, but that would be a great idea if within budget.

To follow on with the full screen idea, how about a bottom screen ticker with the texts very slowly sliding across multiple times. This gives the girls more screen space (I am not saying they should go full body, just a better view of what we see now, above desk view). Also try and put the phone number away from the screen with the girls, as even though it is clean show, clearly a lot of guys want to quietly oggle (especially when chatting to them on the phone) and sometimes it gets in the way. So my idea, would be full screen as possible, with bottom screen one line thick ticker, upper right hand side PIP with viewers photo on rotation, and phone number just above ticker in middle, see through (no border or bar, just the phone number on screen).

Can you sync up with any of the Psychic channels further up the scale on the EPG ? I don't really bother watching the normal 900+ channels as I can see much better porn on my PC and lots of winking (yes I said wInking) and pretend gyrating with underwear on doesn't do much for me, so I stumbled across The Chat purely by accident when I was bored having a laugh looking at the 900+ channels and how porn is done in the daytime. So I was pleasantly surprised to see a virtually family friendly show with stunning girls on amongst 10's of the same other soft core channels. So simply speaking if I missed it, so could 1000s of others.

Some suggestions for content would be a two tier text payment system. One, the usual £1.50 to ask the presenter a question or general chit chat. Then a cheaper 79p text for poll answers or quiz answers. So you could have a rolling quiz throughout the day where people answer the questions set by the presenter, keeping it at a 79p level, means more replies, especially to polls. Whilst keeping the £1.50 level for chitchat and questions to presenters means you keep the same revenue there.

Another thing is to separate yourselves, which you have done very well, again from the rest by making sure the presenters don't use emotional blackmail or cheap tactics to get calls or texts. Generally all the presenters are great at not falling in to the trap of doing this, but there are times where you will hear "awwww, you promised you would phone me and you haven't, I am so upset, I will be going at 3pm", so although carefully not saying the actual words "please ring" it gets very close to saying that. This doesn't happen much, but it does happen. I am not saying the presenter is not slightly saddened by the said person not phoning (cynically I could say they probably don't care, but realistically they might) but a lot of these guys are lonely and skint, and a gorgeous girl acting saddened by their lack of talking to them is a tough thing to resist, and at £1.50 a minute a 20 min chat a few days a week soon adds up. I totally understand you need ways to get more calls, that is business, and more fool the caller if they over spend, but perhaps from a "separate from the rest" and reputation point of view it is just an idea to watch out for too much hard sell and instead keep the soft sell approach. As I say though, generally the girls are great and understanding, it is just the odd time. But at the end of the day I can only speak from the way I see it, I am not a business man, I am a viewer.

What about a non-sexual post 9pm show ? It could have swearing, mature subjects, etc, but not a porn style show like the others. So keeping in The Chat style but with more mature topics and allowed swearing but without it turning in to a sex show.

Keep up the great work though, there is a good mixture of things going on and although it is currently great I am sure it will get progressively better.

Mr Grr is a different person from Mr G, Mr Grr is normally a night-time producer. Video cam was mainly for the freeview viewers as they only got the Chat for some of the day.

If you change your settings on your sky box by going to settings, system set up, picture settings you can change your screen to 16:9 from it's default setting of 4:3 which will make the girls screen bigger.

The show used to be on a channel in the 800's(ie not deemed adult) but due to it having a premuim rate number(£1pm upwards) it has been put up in the 900(Adult Section) of the EPG.

Re Non Sexual Post 9pm show, we can't find a channel to host it, there was a 9pm-3am non adult show when the show was Space Party, we just need channel with space to host it.

Bambi has said that there are some interesting things to come so keep watching.

I cant stand it. The girls talk utter tripe it bores me!the only good thing is Charlie and Donatella sitting there lookin pretty.

I think that she is the sort of women that will be very popular with the men due to her looks and charm. She has a very pleasant way about her which will result(most likely) in her getting the most attention and callers.

As a result I can see her becoming very unpopular with the other presenters.

I agree but it is nice to have a change, some of the current presenters are starting to look very bored.

I agree but it is nice to have a change, some of the current presenters are starting to look very bored.

Why would she become unpopular with the other presenters if she got phone calls that's the point of the show buddy! lol! (well, there's also texts, pictures and those lovely CHATbacks too!) We're not like the other shows... our girls don't have individual targets to hit, our girls aren't sales people and don't run on commission and bonus'. As long as viewers are interacting and having fun that's all we care about at The Chat! We wana have fun and new girls are just a part of that process. I love this show because it's different! I can't wait to meet the new girl!
