It has been announced that Jimmy White and Ken Doherty have been granted wildcard tour cards to remain on the tour for the next two seasons.

A further announcement.
The World Championship is to remain at The Crucible Theatre until at least 2027 therefore guaranteeing the venue will serve a 50th anniversary of hosting the championship.

Yeah I watched the whole thing and this is where the announcements emerged .

Mark Selby has stormed to a 10-2 win over Fergal O'Brien to reach round two.

Bet Fergal didn't have much left after that decider to reach the Crucible nice to know it will be there for the 50th anniversary

I expect that decision was made a lot easier with both of them out at the same time, to avoid the whole "set a bad precedent" thing.

Quite funny to think earlier in the season, especially on Eurosport there seemed a view that White was doing much better than he had for a while, and yet when it came down to brass tacks, he hadn't done enough.
