FAR too much overthinking here on Fern's extended break. I agree with Lowkey's earlier post - she's a free spirit and all that. Let her get on with what's she's doing and she will be back when she's good and ready!
I suspect that the TV schedules are maybe done a month ahead. There's always alterations to it. And do you really think she would has retired from TV without a on screen send off??!!
She has so much going on in her life and Studio66 is a piece of that jigsaw along with her other pro work.
