An interesting turn of events but no one should be surprised by anything that happens in hollywood. A couple of weeks ago i read a transcript of emails that one of Harvey Weinsteins alleged victims sent to him that cast serious doubt on her accusation of rape. While that does not excuse his behaviour and i am sure there are plenty of genuine victims, it does make you wonder just how many other women simply jumped on the bandwagon.

A study carried out by the Child and Woman Abuse Unit in association with The London Metropolitan University found that the number of claims of sexual violence, in the US & Europe, that are found to be or suspected of being false ranges from 2-6%. This one study is not conclusive but it does correlate with Home Office research that suggests that only 4% of cases of sexual violence reported to the police are found or suspected to be false.

Could the Weinstein case be a rare exception? I don't know, only time may tell I guess

Harvey Weinstein has had yet another charge dropped this time due to the stupidity of a NYPD detective and now the whole case looks to be in danger. Why do i get the feeling this scumbag is going to get away scot free.
