HELP! cant get elite 911

got a 2nd hand sky box from a mate. never been able to receive 911/elite daytime. wasnt bothered until elite nights began on there. thought the new card might sort it but it doesnt. i'm not connected to a phone line though, does this make any difference? any help would be great.

Try scanning for new channels if the box is that old!

I thought if you were subscribing to sky they would have sorted you a sky box ?
