The panic buying is out of hand, if it gets much worse we will start seeing looting. That will just make the whole situation a thousand times worse. They have to enforce it somehow, the panic buying is completely unnecessary and just making things 100 times worse for everyone. The Irish government announced the closures of schools etc around lunchtime on Thursday, about 2 hours later my sister couldn't get ANY nappies or baby food in 3 separate supermarkets

On a day when the supermarkets are under seige.
It seems odd to see an advert on TV for Aldi (someone doesn't like Aldi).

Agreed. Saw on the news all the UK supermarket brands came together to ask people to stop panic buying, dont see that working unless they somehow enforce it with threats of fines. Something needs to happen to stop it.

Peoples freezers and cupboards can only hold so much.

There are no shortages. As long as the supermarkets are not having any problems restocking, it'll sort itself out in a few days

Unless you get your home delivery by 40ft artic , that's a different division.

They won't have the staff in place for a Christmas type rush just now and it may be they're prioritising keeping the shelves stacked to avoid problems in-store.
