you keep a civil tongue. 2 wins agaist the cowboys indeed such nonesense. On a serious note I think it will be a win a piece both victorious away from home.
I reckon the redskins will get strong in the last stretch 6-7 games and be a dark horse. Obviously the giants are a cut above at the moment but come january I can see the redskins causing a suprise in a playoff game at the expense of the g-men.

I said at the start of the season I expected an 8-8 record and I stand by that , anything better is a bonus. Really we need to rely on the defence to keep scores down because we struggle to score too many points!

I see but are you willing to die by these words? I cant see why you are so pessimistic I mean I would love for your words to turn out to betrue but I think you have to many good players for that to happen.

No offense meant here mate but you're a Cowboy fan looking at the Redskins. I have watched every game of the season so far and as brummie said our offense has played one half in 4 games and our defense has been ok/

As for your comment about too many good players, yes we have good players at some positions but they are not performing to the necessary level for us to have a winning season. Believe me having watched us this season i think we would be the worst team in the NFL if not for the Bucs and the Browns. I still think part of the problem is that we dont have a strong head coach. As nice a guy as Zorn is i just dont think he is head coach material. (For an example of other people like this just look at Mike Nolan - terrible head coach for the 49ers but working wonders as the Defensive Co-ordinator for the Broncos)

I fully expect us to go 0-6 in the division unless our defense can find some way of keeping the others team to less than 20 points which against the three offenses in the NFC East i just cant see happening. Maybe we can nick one against Dallas as they arent exactly setting the world alight offensively.

The Giants are the best team in the NFC by some way and i fully expect them to win the NFC crown.

Normally i am very optimistic about the Skins but this season we have been truly terrible

there are different ways of seeing it. I see it that your offense has only played half a game yet you are 2and2. So what could happen if your offense play a whole game. I am not saying you don't need to improve but most coaches are happy to have 3and1 record at the end of the month you are only one game away from it.

Admittedly you have played(with the exception of the giants) moderate teams so far but I remember a few seasons back when you were very poor to start with and than went on a run you would be able t tell me the exact stats of winning 6 of the last 7 games and then beat the much fancied Buck's in the wild card game. I think the redskins will go go on a similar run to that, after all it is how you are playing come December that determines your fate(realistically) not now in October. For the redskins to be 10and 6 at the end of the season they need to win only 8 out of 12 remaining games surely they are capable of that if they start playing up to their capabilities.

As for not taking offense no offense taken it is all just opinion but I don't think I am just a cowboy looking in I take interest in all the teams in the NFC east hoping that with the exception of the cowboys that the bastards all lose. I am certain that at some point in the season, Portis and Cooley will step up when it most matters.

True we are emotionally involved so maybe someone who does not have an interest in the NFC might have a clearer picture. Someone say, I don't know eh a raiders fan who would not give a toss about the outcome of the NFC east division but where can we find one? I ask myself

Anyway time for my preview of the weeks games and its weird just how many mismatch games their seems to be this week, can see a lot of blowouts:

Bengals @ Ravens

The Bengals have shocked a lot of people so far in getting to their 3 and 1 record which would have been 4 and 0 had it not been for a lucky bounce to Brandon Stokely in Week 1. Palmer and Chad OchoCinco are back on great form together and will no doubt give the Ravens D a strong test.

As for the Ravens they have played well and finally seem to be getting the best out of Willis McGahee. I think they will be too strong on both sides of the ball for the Bengals.

Ravens to win this one comfortably 24-7

Browns @ Bills

The worst team in the NFL at the moment go up against a team who should be performing offensively but just cant seem to get it going.

Cleveland have been shocking so far and deserve their 0-4 record. As for buffalo with the weapons they have in Evans, Owens and Lynch they should be doing better offensively.

Bills to win a close scrappy one 16-13

Redskins @ Panthers

Cant see anything other than a Panthers win in this one. They have the weapons on offense to cause the redskins defense problems and i cant see the Skins defense holding them to less than 20 points which we will need to do win this game as i cant see our offense putting up that many.

Panthers to win it 28-17

Steelers @ Lions

Onto the first blowout game of the week, As much as i believe the Lions have improved they arent good enough to even stick close to the Steelers let alone win it.

Cowboys @ Chiefs

Excellent chance for the Cowboys to get back on track after last weeks loss to the Denver Broncos. Chiefs have shown marginal improvement this season and need to get things going on offense to have a chance. Dallas should win this one but if Jason Garrett makes some pretty bad calls like he did last week against Denver (Who in their right mind throws at the #2 CB in the league (Champ Bailey, Nnamdi Asomugha being #1) that many times in a game.)

Still think Cowboys will win this one 21-14

Raiders @ Giants

Second blowout game of the week, had this been in Oakland i feel the Raiders might have had a chance of keeping it close but as its in New York i feel the Gmen will be far too strong even if they have to start David Carr in place of Elisha Manning.

Bucs @ Eagles

While i think this will be closer than the two blowout games mentioned so far i think the Eagles will be comfortable. McNabb is back for the Eagles which will be a big boost to them. The Bucs are ok against the run but poor against the pass and with the Eagles having a big play threat in DeSean Jackson i see McNabb putting up very good numbers.

Eagles win it comfortably 27-13

Vikings @ Rams

Third blowout game of the week. The Rams have been truly terrible so far this season while the Vikings have been very good. Adrian Peterson should have a monster game, if you have him in a fantasy league he is a must start.

Falcons @ 49ers

For me this is the game of the week as two good sides go head to head in San Fran. The 49ers defense has been excellent so far this season and will have to be again to stop Ryan and Turner from having big games. On the other side of the ball Michael Crabtree will not play for the 49ers as he only signed this week.

49ers to sneak it with a last second FG 27-24

Texans @ Cardinals

I dont know whats happened to the Cards this year but they dont look like the NFC champs of a year ago. As for the Texans they have been much improved from usual and could surprise many this year and take an AFC wildcard. They have a solid foundation of young players with the likes of Slaton, Mario Williams and Amobi Okoye.

Texans to win it 21-17

Patriots @ Broncos

Ah Belicheat vs another of his disciples. Have to say i've been surprised by the Broncos. McDaniels seemed to be doing all he could to hinder their chances during the off-season - switching the defense to a 3-4 despite not really having the personnel, trading away their best player and potential franchise QB for years to come and having an upset WR on his hands. He has done an amazing job in keeping control and guiding them to a 4-0 record even if they have had some luck along the way but i think this is the game where the Broncos come unstuck.

Belicheat gets the win 24-17

Jags @ Seahawks

Hard one to call this one as both have points where they look very good and points where they look very bad. I think this game could come down to which team gets their running game going first. I think the Jags have the better RBs and they should be able to get some big yardage against the Seahawks D.

Colts @ Titans

With the way the Titans secondary has been playing Peyton Manning must have been licking his lips. He can rip apart normal teams never mind ones that arent playing well. I am amazed at how great Manning is playing when you think of who is throwing to - yes he still has Wayne but his other receivers are Collie and Garcon (thats right i hadnt heard of them either).

Colts to win it thanks to Manning 28-21

Jets @ Dolphins

Tough divisional game to call after an unconvincing start the Phins are finally playing pretty well. The Jets have been playing well all season and i'm still in shock over how well Mark Sanchez has been playing, rookie QBs rarely make such a quick impact although looking at Ryan and Flacco last season maybe its going to become more common. Jets now have Braylon Edwards in the passing game and he should be a help for Sanchez.

Jets to prevail 20-14

As an outsider looking in on the NFC East,my thoughts are "I'll sit on the fence on this one" After four weeks,The Giants have clearly been the standout team,but if Manning can't shake off the heel injury and it gets worse causing him to miss games,then i think every team will be back in contention.
Redskins,Cowboys and the Eagles all seem to have issues on offence at the moment whether it's injury or poor QB play,which in theory should get better as the season progresses.
I think The Redskins have a similar problem to The Raiders right now in that because of the QB's inaccuracy,teams are playing man on man coverage on the outside,and stuffing the middle to stop the run,this will only be resolved when Campbell manages to complete enough passes to stretch the field and free up the run channels.
The Cowboys,i watched the game against the Broncos and there didn't seem a whole lot wrong,it just seems that Romo is suffering a lack of confidence at the moment,maybe his timing is a bit off as well.Also he wasn't helped by the playcalling of OC Jason Garrett,going to Sam Hurd twice with the last two plays of the game when he was being covered by Champ Bailey was a head scratcher to say the least.
The Eagles will be an unknown quantity untill McNabb is fit,only then can they be judged.
I think it'll be another 5-6 weeks before the division becomes a bit more clearer,but on the bright side The Cowboys have The Raiders in week 12 and The Redskins have us in week 14,so you're both guaranteed at least one more win

I agree with your comment about throwing the ball to SAM Huard who up against Bailey at the time. It was a very strange decision when you consider the fact that we probably have the best tight end in the game in Jason Witten who has the pace and strength to escape any line backer or strong safety marking him. I think that over all the NFC conference will be between the giants and the vikings(redskins as dark horses) and the AFC will ultimately be between The Steelers and the Patriots ,as well as the Broncos are playing at the moment
