RE: The Graphic Novel/Comic Thread
Here's a few more Sandman sequences that I've dug up. Does anyone know of a free filehosting site that allows files over 500MB? If so, I'll find them all and post as one complete set...

I am thinking of downloading Air

Ladies and gentlemen, there's been a change in our flight plan. You may have heard of a group called the Etesian Front -- vigilantes dedicated to taking the skies back from terrorism. Sounds like a noble cause, right? But there's more to them than meets the eye. They're after someone I know. Someone who is either an average frequent flier -- or a terrorist. And he's got a secret. Something that will change the way we fly -- and the way we see technology -- forever.

To find him, we've altered course. We're en route to a country that doesn't exist on any maps. Only one person knows how to get us there: me. My name is Blythe, and I'll be your stewardess today. So buckle your seatbelts -- this will be the flight of your life.

"I read the first half dozen issues of Air and enjoyed them [to] no end" - Neil Gaiman

"The fantasy is real, and the reality is fantastic, Air is a compelling and completely original read that thrills, surprises and delights." - Gail Simone

"Challenging and original, a groundbreaking look at air travel and the politics of terrorism." - Brian Wood

as i am in a nice mood heres Issues 1-5

It took me a couple of hours to dig them all up, then a couple of hours to upload a bloody gigantic .zip folder, but here it is. The whole Sandman collection as written by Neil Gaiman, plus a few others written by guest writers and some galleries for those who like the pretty pictures without all of those annoying words getting in the wayWink

It's only fair to warn you, by .zip standards this one is a doozy! 717MB, so it might take a while to download... Also, I've just whacked all of them into one folder so it includes the ones I've previously upped to rapidshare.

The inmates of Arkham Asylum have taken over Gothams detention center for the criminally insane on April Fools Day, demanding Batman in exchange for their hostages.Accepting their demented challenge, Batman is forced to live and endure the personal hells of the Joker, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Two-Face and many other sworn enemies in order to save the innocents and retake the prison.During his run through this absurd gauntlet, the Dark Knights own sanity is placed in jeopardy.

Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth is an original graphic novel written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Dave McKean. It was published by DC Comics in 1989. The book sold over 500,000 and was for many years DC's best-selling graphic novel.

The book was praised for its exploration of ideas and storytelling and also proved financially and artistically lucrative for Morrison.

RE: The Graphic Novel/Comic Thread
I prefer having the actual books to downloading them. There is only so long I am prepared to sit at a computer screen for after a full day at work.

I have a question maybe someone can answer for me...

Two of my favourite graphic novels are 'Watchmen' and 'The Killing Joke', both written by Alan Moore. I have looked at 'Albion' (kind of ironic for me) several times, and never actually bought it. Has anybody read it, and would they recommend it?

Boing Boing!
