Those who treated Eriksen are deserving of a Euro medal of their own for their quick thinking which may have saved Eriksen's life.

Glad to hear Eriksen is stable. Hope in time he can make a full recovery and all my thoughts and wishes go to him, his family and everyone else who knows him

FT Denmark 0 - 1 Finland

Currently it is Belgium 2 - 0 Russia

It's good that Christian Eriksen was able to tell his teammates that he wanted them to continue with the match, but unfortunately for Denmark they lost to Finland despite having 22 goal attempts to 1. Finland becomes the first country in the history of the Euros to win a match in which they had only 1 goal attempt.

Well, I was pretty impressed by that England performance.

I was a little worried when they came out of the gate at 100 mph. There’s no way they could have kept up that pace for 90 mins and I figured if they didn’t get a goal from all that effort, they’d get frustrated and panicky, reverting to classic England chaos of past tournaments.

But they slowed it down, kept their cool, kept their shape and maintained a good balance. That has to be the Southgate effect — credit to him.

I thought Rice and Phillips were excellent, the centre backs were solid, and Foden ran his socks off. My only gripe with the selection was Trippier ahead of Chilwell … but Gareth rarely takes my advice on team selection.

How the heck EUFA gave Man of the Match to Sterling rather than Phillips I don’t know. It won’t bother him though because the Yorkshire Pirlo is so humble all he’ll be thinking about is the win & if he did enough to get picked for the next game.

Phillips was MOTM by a country mile.

That said, I’m happy for Sterling to get the recognition, if only for maintaining his compusure when asked a series of bullshit questions by the BBC post match reporter:

“Do you think you justified your selection…?”

I missed the start of the game.. So why I was wondering why Jack Grealish wasn't in the starting lineup or appear as a sub.

No Grealish for England today, but Bellingham became the youngest player to ever play in the Euros. The record might not last long though, as an even younger Kacper Kozlowski could play tomorrow for Poland against Slovakia. Bellingham also became the youngest player to appear for England at any tournament, a record which had been held by Michael Owen since the 1998 World Cup.
