So I hear (I haven't seen) that James Bond dies in his latest film, No Time To Die, leaving behind a five year old daughter.

So the makers of the film, with not much originality, have followed in the wake of Logan (Wolverine) and Avengers Endgame (Iron Man) by killing off a major white male action hero whilst leaving behind a daughter.

Can anyone else think of any other recent instances of a major white action hero being killed off, leaving behind a female offspring? (I know Han Solo had a son who kills him in The Force Awakens; did Han Solo also have a daughter?)

Apologies, Skully. All I was trying to do was highlight what has become a definite trend in a lot of action movie series of late, and wondering how others felt about it. If you feel it's not a debate worth having, at least not on this forum, then fair enough.

The thing you're trying to highlight/debate isn't the issue, it's the fact you posted spoilers about a movie many haven't seen, that's why I'm annoyed by your post. You should have waited a bit longer or spoiler tagged parts of the text in the first place.

People purposefully spoiling movies is bad enough, but movies that are important (like this one is, seeing as it's Daniel Craig's last) is something I would hand warnings out for. That wasn't your intention, so we can move passed it...hopefully.
