All things Metallica - Discussion thread

On this day - January 23rd 1984 - Metallica released the single 'Whiplash' from their debut album 'Kill 'Em All'. I remember being at secondary school when I first heard this track - a mate of mine had it playing on his 'cassette walkman' (lol those were the day's ) and I remember being totally blown away by it when I listened to it. This was the very first Metallica track that I had heard and was just struck by the intense, heavy and raw energy of this track at that time and this was the track that drew my attention to Metallica .

Master of Puppets is #22 in the singles chart. Can they match Kate Bush and go to #1? Stranger Things have happened...
