He's been in decline for ages now. His website has stopped and I think that he's finally gone bank.....

Thought I'd expand on the above post. :-

As my 10+ year old laptop has been acting up, I'm looking to replace it. But now I have an intermittent fault on my phone-line which has got worse in the past few days & I've completely lost my internet connection.
An engineer is booked on Monday to hopefully resolve the issue. Until then (if it's fixed) I will no doubt be dropping out more than dropping in here.

I don't know if this will be of any help to you but.....a few years ago, my phone line started to die. The internet was slow anyway and then just got slower and slower and less reliable. Getting an engineer out to it is a pain because I live in a very rural position, and would also cost quite a bit i imagine.

I checked out where the nearest mobile masts are. It turned out there was an EE mast not too far away.
I got a new 4G phone, signed up with a utility warehouse mobile plan. Their plan uses the EE network. Turn on the hotspot feature on the phone, and connect my laptop and ipad to the internet via the phone.
It costs only £20 each month for unlimited calls, texts and data and its a month to month contract. £10 less than i was paying just for broadband.
I get about 50MB download and 20MB upload speeds. It hardly ever drops out or goes slow.
Also, if you have a 3network mast close by, you can get a similar deal with Giff Gaff.
