Thanksgiving
It's America's big day today. It's Thanksgiving.

So I'd like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all our American members (all one of him) and to any of the girls who come from there.

You can expect the girls to wear their American football shirts today.

RE: Thanksgiving
It's that day again.

Cook the turkey, baked the apple pie and get ready for the American Football tonight. It's Detroit v Packers..
I always remember this Friends classic.

Phoebe: Hey, Mon? I don't think I can help you after all. I didn't realize this game was on.
Monica: Oh, I didn't know you like football.
Phoebe: Well, normally, I don't. But, you know, Green Bay is playing.
Monica: You like Green Bay?
Phoebe: Well, it's only like my favorite bay.

Happy Thanksgiving, ukusagolf Smile and great to see you are now posting on the forum.Cool

I'm not sure that our turkeys are fat enough in the UK, should be ok by next month.Important

Expecting the Lions to be too strong for the Packers, but maybe closer than many are predicting.
It could get ugly if the Cowboys get a fast start against the Commanders, all over by Dolly Parton's half time show, my guess would be at least a 14 point margin of victory for Dallas.
Big drawback for me as a Niners fan, the West Coast games are a challenge in the UK. I'll try to grab some sleep and tune in for a 01.20 start.Rolleyes Potentially a close encounter with Seattle.

Thanks very much for the Thanksgiving Shout Out
Sending all the best wishes from across the Pond

I'm a huge NFL fan (life long Browns fan) so I'll be watching all three games (in between the food and family time)

I'm amazed at the passion you guys have in the UK for the NFL. It can't be easy with a lot of big games starting after 1 in the morning. I have talked to a few NFL fans in the UK, they do their best to watch each week.

RE: Thanksgiving
^^ Can't imagine what it was like for Browns fans to lose their team, and only making the Playoffs once in the last 20 years. I'd like to see them make it this season, the AFC North is tight and the AFC in general, with 11 teams above .500 and only 7 in the NFC, it's been that way for some time. Never great to lose your starting QB, but what a defense.

RE: Thanksgiving
It's been rough. Browns fans are loyal and devout thru thick and thin. Lot of lean years during my fandom of the team. Been thru hell and back with them, but still there Smile This season has felt different. They are winning the close ones

AFC is going to be a dogfight. I think the Chiefs will probably be the ones who make it to the Super Bowl since they have Mahomes and a good defense of their own. I can always hope and pray that one day the Browns will finally make it and win a Super Bowl

RE: Thanksgiving
^^ I'd expect the Browns to find enough for 3 wins and a Playoff place given the schedule.

Providing Mahomes stays healthy he will be frustrating allcomers for years to come. the Chiefs have no right to be in the position they are this year, their young defense have exceeded expectations, but Mahones doesn't have the weapons on offense that many other teams possess. Despite that he wins games, above any QB in the league with him in the line-up they start as favourites. Hopefully the cracks have started to appear in the last few weeks, scoreless in the 2nd half. The Eagles and the Niners have the game to beat the Chiefs and maybe the Ravens.

RE: Thanksgiving
I love the idea of the Madden tributes yesterday. Players wearing his silhouette on their uniforms and the special coin for the toss with his head on one side and the famous 6 legged turducken which came about after Madden started awarding a turkey leg to the standout player or players. He had commented that it was a shame that there wasn't more legs to go round for the linemen and someone then came up with the six legged bird.
Last night as the Niners stars tucked into their turkey legs during an interview, after the last words Kittle ran off with the whole bird.
