We need to look at what to improve like passing accuracy. From a positive note we have gained another two quality young player, Mainoo and Guehi to add to the other class players.
We also need to improve mentally too. We have been far too shy in front of goal throughout and relied on Kane far too much and that told. Kane might get us through the Qualiying stage for the World Cup but I can't see him being in USA/Mexico. TBH, Spain used the 4-3-2-1 formation far, far more effectively and especially when Nico Williams switched sides, I think then he gave us a different set of problems defensively that led to their winner. I thought Yamal had a pretty quiet game. I have the feeling those two will be a real threat in qaualifying for any team.

But after the equalizer, they sat deep again, probably coz Southgate told them to. That just invited them to score... It was a piss poor way to end
Cole Palmer was the only one who really did put the Spanish defence under any pressure, scored a well taken goal, but had we kept on at them I think we could have cracked them open. Kane & Palmers' booking were for me a bit unfair, I think they were booked for far less than what some of the Spanish players did.
Are we lacking something mentally?
Are we lacking theat Mental ability that allows us to score?
Maybr it is time for the Media to stop heaping high expectations on the team whther in qualifying or at tournaments. Spain are also the first team to win all their games at the tournament. I think I said it before but I wonder if this Spanish team is better thsn their World Cup winning one and probably could do even better.

I really like this idea.
My concern with our experimentation with big club managers (e.g. Ericsson, Capello) is that they always motivated to mould the team in their own image. It’s no coincidence that we looked to overseas managers during those periods when we fell into the trap of believing that we had to play “the German way” or “the Spanish way” or “the French way”.
Because of Southgate’s consistency, because of St George’s Park, and the huge effort in producing more trained coaches at all levels, we are starting to play a recognisably “English way”. I’d hope that the next manager evolves and improves the team rather than try to revolutionise it.
Pearce’s solution might assure that.
(Incidentally, I think Pearce is also part of The FA set-up. So he probably has first-hand experience of how deeply embedded Southgate has become in the organisation. He probably wants a better tactician on the bench, but doesn’t want to lose all the experience and goodwill that Southgate has amassed over the years.)
