Canadian Women's Football team got into trouble for spying on their next opposition's training by the use of a drone.

That has to have consequences for sure, They should either be disqualified or have points docked even if they win.

Nice to see Peaty in the Final and hope he has a decent draw, and makes it a third gold I beleive he had injury problems for a while after Tokyo & I hope now that performance shows he is somewhere back to his best. Probably one of our best chances for swinming gold.

Canadian womens coach sacked & banned from football by FIFA for 1 year. Canadian FA also fined and team given 6 point deduction so now on -3 with 2 games to play. The 2 other coaches also banned by FIFA

Also questions about their Gold Medal from Tokyo as believed they used drones there too.

I would imagine SA that that would likely take the form of a joint FIFA/IOC investigation and they would probably need any evidence from the Totkyo organising committee at the time and if they knew it was going on and did anything.

It does however in my mind at least raise possible/probable questions of whether Manchester City were somehow using drones secretly to film opponents training. I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of their wins become pretty suspect.

I would think FIFA now needs to clamp down on this pretty quickly & pretty hard to ensure it doesn't sow seeds anywhere else. At least those concerned have now been banned but surely three to five years should be maximum for it with no contact with the game. ANyone who is stupid enough to try it would probably think twice knowing it could ruin their careeer.

Canadians always get banned for the best stuff!

Ben Johnson set a (disallowed) world record in what had to be the most ‘juiced’ 100m in Olympic history.

They had a snowboarder in the Winter Games who had his gold medal stripped after testing positive for marijuana. Days later it was given back because even the stuffed shirts at the IOC had to concede that in no circumstances could weed be considered “performance enhancing” lol

Now they get busted for using drones to spy on their opponents.

Okay, it’s all wrong, and the athletes should be punished. But I still think Canada should be given a commemorative medal for ‘innovation’ in the art of cheating.

Good start for G B Men's hockey 4-0 winners over Spain. Spain had some chances that went too close to comfort for GB.
France beaten 8-2 by Germany who probably have to be the team we have to beat to go further.

Rosie Eccles suffered a controversial split decision loss in the 66kg boxing.
Looked a distinctly dodgy decision to my mind.
