SILVER for Tommy Fleetwood.
Bogeyed the 17th hole and it proved costly as Scottie Scheffler wins by 1 shot.

Surprised at the bogey on 17, looked a relatively straight forward chip shot, very clumsy, heavy handed. That might have been his best chance of an Olympic Gold, got the perfect venue for all our European players, the 4 year gap means getting selected is no guarantee.
No shame in getting beaten by Scheffler who had a putt on the 18th for a course record, which he equalled.

Since Nadal didn't win it , i am happy Djokovic won Gold because he totally deserves it and to think this was his first final was unbelievable and to win it at 37 is amazing.

Something another all time great didn't do in Federer.

Anyway well done Djokovic.

A Belgium triathlete has been ill and after tests it seems to be a case of E.coli.

So Belgium has pulled the entire team out of tomorrow mixed event.

Both handball and water polo are played professionally and each sport boasts leagues across many European, Asian and American countries.

Another professional sport which I'm pleased has come back to the Olympics is squash. I've always admired the quick adaptation and movement needed in a very fast, athletic sport. Looking forward to seeing it back in Los Angeles 2028, although it's a shame it wasn't back sooner.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.
Squash is a brilliant sport to watch and play.
Many moons ago when I wasn't a lard arse cripple I played it quite regularly. It was exhausting but so much fun. It should never have been taken out the Olympics in the first place imo.

Good news that Cindy Ngamba has at least a bronze for the Refugee team however lives in bolton since she was 11 and trains with team GB coaching only the fact that the Home office are still making a decision on her status means she couldnt compete for us

I still can't get over the mixed relay run from Femke Bol last night. When she took the baton for the last leg she had a huge deficit to overcome and yet somehow pulled it off against a powerhouse USA.
Just watched it back again.
Absolutely staggering performance. What a supremely gifted athlete she is.
