Pakistan won the men's javelin, ahead of defending champs India. Pakistan's 1st ever athletics gold, apparently Smile

The boxing judging has been absolutely appalling all through this Olympic Games.
Yet another ridiculous split decision result tonight. This time it was Cindy Ngamba of the Refugee Olympic Team who was on the wrong end of things. No wonder the crowd booed their disapproval. Scandalous.

A lot depends now on the Long Jump for Kat.
If she nails that then the likely damage of the ensuing Javelin can be restricted.
Nafi Thiam's Javelin throwing is pretty frightening.

Then it's all about the 800m.
If KJT can be within striking range of Thiam and in front of Anna Hall prior to the 800m then it could be OMG time.

But initially it's all about that long jump. Crunch time.

I would say she if she can get close to her personal best in the Long jump (6.92m) with say, another 2- 4cm on that PB, then I think she would stand a good chance of winning. Her PB in Javelin is only 46.14m. if she can get something around or as close 46. 30-50 or even possibly extend it to just beyond 47m that could also make a difference, and probably might put pressure on both Thiam & Hall. Then there is the points/time difference in the 800. If KJT is still ahead then then how many seconds ahead of Thiam & Hall would be enough for her to win

I think the boxing in the olympics has often been the sport that produces the most controversial decisions in the past Olympics, but tbh it's probably been tnhe most shocking olympic boxing competition.

RE: Paris Olympiad 2024
So to the crucial long jump.

Thiam with 6.41.
KJT struggling with one jump of three left.
6.40m in last chance saloon.

Lead now 45 points going into the Javelin in which Thiam has a huge advantage. It's damage limitation time for Kat in that.

But, alas, I fear the Gold may have just slipped away.
The long jump needed to be huge to offset impending big losses on the Javelin.
By the time of the 800m the points gap may be too much.

Barring a KJT Javelin surprise I fear this is the end.

45.49m javelin for KJT.
Not bad at all.
Should get a medal for sure after that throw.

But Thiam still to come.
KJT will have to hope the deficit after the javelin is recoverable.

Canada’s at it again…

This time it’s their Bronze medal pole vaulter —. and part-time OnlyFans star — who caused a minor ‘scandal’ by twerking* in celebration.

*The best angles no doubt available to subscribers as $10 ppv.

Bronze medal in the pole vault … Gold medal in our hearts Heart

RE: Paris Olympiad 2024
Somewhat predictably Thiam launched the javelin out to 54.04m and now leads by 121 points going into the 800m.

That should be that.

The Gold is out of reach for KJT barring a miracle in the 800m.
