There 3rd lowest in Test history, the lowest was 36 against Australia in Adelaide 2020. 2nd lowest 42 against England at Lords in 1974.
The 46 all out was India's lowest against New Zealand beating the 81 at Wellington in 1976 & the lowest total by any team against New Zealand the previous lowest was 51 against Zimbabwe at Napier in 2012.

To think at one point India were the no.1 team to beat.

Mind you it took us just over 17 overs to bowl India out in 1974 for 42 and it took New Zealand 31.2 overs the other day.

India got this wrong at the toss, after losing day 1 to rain is seemed a strange decision to bat first on a pitch that had been covered for long periods.
