Late Night w/Seth Meyers
Jesse Eisenberg had a new movie, whilst Mika Brzezinski was talking breakfast news. Then in his last show before the Election, he talks to Keri Russell, who's some actress, and JB Smoove, yet another ex-SNL writer now judging on some kind of invention show. He also spent many minutes relisting all Trump's failings and wondering why the polls were still so close. Maybe there was a clue there that he was too polite to detail.

Global Public Square
FZ's last show before the US Election managed a big guest in the shaggy-haired shape of Boris "turned up for once" Johnson, plugging his new work of fiction memoir.

Meet the Press w/Kristen Welker
Their last show before the Election included much hype of the late Iowa poll, and Chuck Todd came on for the panel, trying to add some perspective unlike Jen Psaki and the host.

Joan Bakewell at the BBC
Half-hour from the tribute night of shows, even though she has decades of stuff to talk about, like Late Night Line-Up and Heart of the Matter. She didn't bring up being described as the "thinking man's crumpet".

Upfront (on the road)
Marc Lamont Hill goes to New York, to talk to Te-Nehisi Coates about his new book.

7.6 To the river Ouse to seek a big perch, but where the Ouse travels in Bedfordshire. Bob tries to cook tripe for Paul, but it's not well taken. Bob catches a couple of little perch, whilst Paul gets a perch and a barbel, but the big one eludes them, though they keep changing locale to increase their chances.
M&W: GF
7.7 To Thornwood Springs in Essex to try for rudd. Paul manages a trout, they try sleeping in a church, get frustrated by geese, but do eventually catch a decent rudd at the 11th hour.

5.8 Last in the series saw Olga Koch and Thanyia Moore head to Bulgaria, where sweaty feet, a flat tyre, and the Devil's Throat added up to another entertaining series, and I hope they find more places to go for 2025.
WMDR
6.1 Wow, even quicker. Johnny Vegas and Lucy Beaumont went to Montenegro, which was more about rocks than mud. Johnny is one of the many stand-ups with issues about heights, but still scored over Lucy, who didn't drive. Lucky they were close pals from way back, really.

The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. So incredibly moving.

Lest we forget.

A French Lacquer Artist's Oriental Journey
Vincent Cazeneuve moves to a foresty part of China to make art with tree sap, what seems like a staggeringly tricky process for questionable results. But at least he encouraged a wood whittling trade to keep local skills alive.

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
A last desperate round-up before the Election, including warnings about Trump's business practices and plans for crypto. Ah well.
