I have decided to stick with my original decision and step down from running the competition and will play no part of future running of it.

It is sad that you feel a need to walk away but I thank you for your work both in this comp and over the years. I know how difficult running comps can be and the many and varied pitfalls that exist. There was no malice whatever in my score checks. To be honest I was just having a casual mooch around to see how close Beth got only to find she lost by 1 . But obviously once I was aware that Lolly had won I was duty bound to both check my calculations and alert the forum.

This then set in motion a wider curiosity as per a possible 5 way playoff so I thought 'may as well have a mooch at the other scores as well'.

It became apparent that a 5 way playoff was not required and that the semi finals were actually pretty clear cut.
Once again I had little alternative to speak up and say so and the reasons therefore. To have not done so in full knowledge of the situation would have been dereliction of duty and negligence on my part.

I'm sorry this has caused you much upset. But the numbers don't lie and we do now have the semi finals in place with no playoff needed.

It has caused so much upset for me after a night's sleep! (even when I am having health problems at present). I always looked forward to doing this competition as it often gave me a focus to take my mind off other things like work and have a proper involvement on the forum.

I wanted this to be something I could be proud of as a forum achievement, and I am proud of it, but I just wish people just did as asked and left it to me do the hard bit and accepted my calculations for what they were.

I thought most people would turn round and offer support and apologise to me for not even noticing the mess they were creating and hurt it was causing.

Now I feel that I have been treated with little respect for all I have done with this over the years, and no one ever really felt comfortable with what I was doing, so that's why I made the decision to step down.

^With the greatest respect LB if the counts are wrong then they are wrong, you can't just plough on regardless.

If you disagree with that principle then it is right that you step down with everyone's best wishes and thanks.

Of all the comps I have seen on this forum it is this one that has provided the most complexity, discussion over format and the strongest opinions. It is a hard task for anyone to undertake. Challenges lie ahead for the forum as a whole to reach a consensus on how to run this in future. I sincerely hope and wish for that consensus to emerge and in the meantime offer my thanks to LB and Charle for their work over the years.

I’m pleased that through the good spirited work of Snooks and Charles we have validated Semi-Final participants. Many thanks gentlemen. Looking at the contenders I’m struck by their quality. Good to see Lolly there who of course after she ceased on screen appearances was active behind the scenes for some time organising shift rotas. I know she was highly regarded by the performers.

There are some semi-finalists that I never saw & therefore where I can I’ve done my own research into them (Charles A-Z thread is a wonderful resource in that regard). Good luck to them all.

Much better to work together than against each other, that's all that has happened here. Thanks to all involved.

I'm also pleased to see Lolly reach the Semis. She's what I would regard as a true babeshow legend , some of the more recent babes have not quite reached her level. Lolly is yet another case of "out of sight out of mind" having just scraped through into the quarters with just 3 votes she then picked up 10. There's a familiar pattern here & I know what comes next...

With the vast numbers of babes over 20+ years is there any wonder that so many are slipping through the net. What disappoints me most is the voting apathy, for a Forum of this size, a little over 3o voting members is pitiful.

On a positive note, even within the restrictive format the Semi Finals have delivered some strong contenders.

This is what is planned for the end of the semi finals.
I've been inputting all the scores and will check them with a paper check towards the conclusion of the contest.

At 9pm on Sunday, I'll post the totals on the semi finals, and if there aren't any challenges then the final will be created and will start at 11pm.

Unless there's a tied match which will run for an extra 24 hours.
