Weird Sky+ problem with Babestation

I adopted a rather old Sky+ box recently (one of the first on the market), so maybe it's just a tech issue there, but I thought I'd ask this in case anyone else has experienced the same problem.

Oddly, this only happens with Babestation, but when I come to view a recording of that channel, the fast forward/rewind feature doesn't work properly. Instead of being able to see the picture advancing, it simply pauses, although it is advancing, as when I go back to play the recording begins from a point further on. The only way I can see the recording visably advancing is if I go to the fasted speed (X30), anything slower than that and it just pauses the picture until I press play again.

As I say, it doesn't do this on any of the other channels.

This happens with me on Party Talk and it makes hard to edit my videos from that channel.

Odd, eh? I wonder if it's something to do with certain channels' bit rates? I have no idea what bit rates are/do, but I've heard them mentioned during tech talk.

This used to happen for me on Babeworld 908 and Sexstation 910. It may still. Even more annoying, when fast forwarding at 30x its inevitable that you'll need to rewind when you realise you've skipped past something worth recording. For me, rewinding on these channels usually caused my Sky+ box to crash.

I also have a weird thing on Sportxxx channels 937 & 945 where if I stop recording and then start again, when I review the recording the picture will cease where I first stopped recording. The remainder of the recording will just be a black screen.

Yes. I find that at X30 you're skipping a lot of info anyway, as Sky doesn't fast forward in the same way vcrs or dvd players do.

I've had the same problem too.
