			| Scart splitter question

My tv, which I suspect is nearing the end of its life, has a four-way scart splitter in the back, but unlike others I've seen - which feeds directly from the already existing scart socket - this one is connected to the back of the tv via a plug that I can only describe as looking like an oversized telephone connector. It works perfectly, however, and allows me to utilize all my appliances - Sky, vcr, dvd, and another satellite receiver for the dish I have pointed at Hotbird - automatically and without having to flick any switches.
So my question is this: In that when I have to get a new tv, I'll have to buy a bog-standard scart splitter, are there any available that work in the same way, ie ones that I don't have to manually flick switches on when using my various appliances? I used to have one that had a button for each scart, meaning that when I wanted to use my dvd player (for instance) I had to select that scart by flicking the button. I can't bear the thought of having to go back to that curfuffle.
