To be honest i had been hoping - given the apparent moral outrage that John Terry has brought about - that by now someone would have posted something along the lines of 'how dare you suggest that an england player deliberately fouls an opponent to gain an advantage. we win fairly or not.' or 'cheryl etc I can't bring myself to fuck you silly tonight as your husband etc is thousands of miles away giving his all for his country and I respect him too much' but what the hell.

I shan't bother responding to the first part of your post, it's nothing personal but it's been resolved now anyway and i'm bored with it now (much like the rest of the country, i reckon)

Let's be clear on this, Carragher on his fuckin' BEST day is still nowhere near as good as JT on his worst (and Terry rarely has a bad day, that's why he's as good as he is) About four England managers have clearly thought the same, which is why Carragher eventually spat the dummy and quit playing for England.....He could only EVER get a game as a defensive midfielder or a fullback, he had more chance of the pope giving him a blowjob than getting in the side at centreback instead of Ferdinand or JT!!

MOREOVER.........He's stinking the place out this season, so much so that even his club side rarely play him at centre half and have taken to shoving him out at right full back. By his own admission he's having "the worst season of his life" so even if he was available, what's your basis for taking him to the W/C? Ask any striker currently playing in the Prem who the better centre half is, i doubt Carragher would get a single vote.

And Ledley King? Forget it. Good as he is (and there's no doubt that Capello likes him) there's no way that you can risk taking a long term crock who's knee is NEVER gonna get any better to a World Cup, it's a non-starter.

That only leaves Ferdinand, who's having a injury-riddled, poor form season himself, so i'm sorry, but i really don't know where you're coming from......

The only place you'll see jamie carragher this summer is at blackpool giving rides with the other donkeys. he's been a liability this season and if liverpool have any sense it'll be his last. Ferdinand has been poor when he's played (I know i'm a united fan but i am honest) but we're stuck with him now. Ledley king hasn't played for england in ages and isn't likely to be fit enough to. Terry is still guaranteed to start so it's time those of you who just hate him got over it. Upson as cover and unfortunately wes brown because he can play anywhere across the back so he saves a place on the plane for a forward and we need to take five this time not four including one who never takes his tracksuit off like we did last time.

He's barely the fourth best centre half in England, standing behind Ferdinand, Ledley King & Carragher. Cappello would be better off trying to get 2 games out of King and persuading Carragher to come back, than pussyfooting round Terrys embarrassment.

So what do you want the Chelsea players to do? Kick the shit out of their best defender and reduce their chances or winning any trophies? Why would they care anyway?

I've preferred Ferdinand to Terry in the past, but he's having a bit of a nightmare this season. Carragher's past it and King will never be better then Terry.

Doesn't really count sticking up for Terry if you are such a big Chelsea fan that you name yourself after Chelsea. Also most people I have spoken to think that if King could stay fit then he could be the best defender in the Country, the shit he does manage to do when he hasn't even been training is pretty impressive, the only reason he will never be better than Terry is because he has the knee of an 89 year old.... with arthritis.... and Brittle Bone Disease. As co-centre back with Terry (sadly not going to happen now that Ferdinand is Captain, which unfortunately means he has to play) I do not know why people do not consider Michael Dawson, if you actually look at the stats (according to Sky Sports that I watched yesterday) for this season he is a close second to Terry and the person in third isn't even close. But whatever Capello decides should work okay... I hope.

HAHAHAHA!!! That is possibly one of the stupidest comments i've ever seen!

A lot of my mates hate John Terry (mainly Utd, Liverpool & City Fans) not for what he's done, but they just dont like him, but even they know he's the best if not one of the best in the world...as said above, even if carragher was in the from of his life, he'd be no where near as good as JT, the man's a machine! Ledley King is good but again as said, has the knee's of an 89 yr old. Mas0887 makes a good point with Michael Dawson though, i think he's definately in the top 5 centre halves in the country atm.

However, England going to the World Cup without JT, would be like Spain going to the world cup without Carlos Puyol....NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!!

I agree about dawson - he should be there. However, the problem is he's going to have to play against egypt and mexico to have any chance of going to the world cup. So that means if ferdinand is fit for both games it would be a ferdinand/dawson partnership which would start up all kinds of shit about terry which we can do without and so can capello. If ferdinand's injured for either of those friendlies then i'd pick dawson straight away.
