I like seeing Hartlepool winning aswell... not because I've got any affinity with the club but because its funny watching Jeff Stelling dancing in his chair on SkySports when they score!

It was a lot more fun before it became public knowledge he was a 'pools fan, watching him try to remain calm and impartial if 'pools nicked a last minute winner was side-splitting And the crestfallen look if they lost... especially to Darlo', that was great telly.

O well,at least we can concentrate on avoiding relegation now !!

Firstly,Forest were worthy winners today - well done to them. Although we had a team out there that should have taken care of our opponents we were without our best player this season S.Ireland, Robinho and S.Wright-Phillips had to go off injured after about 20 mins.

This just underlines the dross we have at the club from previous regimes and it is going to take time to rid the club of this rubbish [step forward Vassel,Ball,Elano,Benjani,Dunne,Fernades,Hamman]

I have to remind people that our new found wealth came into the club on 1st Sept - we were not going to have world domination on 2nd Sept. There is much work to be done and we have only had four transfer window days so far to spend any of the funds.

Don`t forget it took Ferguson over 3 years to start getting it right at United so everybody with City`s best interests at heart may have to put up with results like this for a little longer.

Er - I`d just put a hold on that - we are still in the EUAFA cup !!

Although we have been shite in all the games [except Schalke away] somehow we have scrambled through to the last 16. So you never know the luck may be with us in this one.

D'oh, forgot about that. I've probably jinxed the banner now. I'm away to put a fiver on City to win the Uefa cup to unjinx it as i never win money from the bookies.
