RE: Dr Who
I really enjoyed this weeks episode. It certainly had that doctor who feel to it and was a bit daft like, but enjoyable with a good bit of money spent on the set peices.

Wow at hot and sexy Amy pond!
Matt Smith is great as the new doctor!

Knock knock,

RE: Dr Who
If we didn't know before we know now that the cracks that have appeared are part of a bigger plotline since tonights episode ended focused on one. Obviously since amy didn't recognise the daleks then it's something along the line of time shifting/leaking. The daleks are always good value though so I thought it was better than last weeks episode. Looking forward to the return of the statues next week as that was a good episode the last time they appeared.

would all those wishing to take part in today's round of multiple username bingo please note emails must be submitted before 5pm

RE: Dr Who
Just seen tonights episode with Winston Churchill and the Daleks.
Thought Winston looked more like Billy Bunter.
For a second or two, I thought Amy was going to shag the android to make him human. Big Grin
Amy looked quite tall tonight, don't know if she was wearing high heels.
They also had a "placement advert" for Jammy Dodgers. Smile

good episode again tonight love the spitfires having a dogfight in space. also like new revamped daleks, making them like the daleks from the two 1960's Dr Who films with their bright colours. bit of trivia the reason why they are taller is so that the eyestalk is level with karen gillian since she is 5"11. when the daleks came back the were designed to be as tall as billie piper, so since karen is taller the daleks are taller

im thinking the cracks that pop up as a running story are a crack between dimensions and amy is also connected to them since she cant remember the daleks. Also think amy's wedding will also play a part in this running storyline through the episodes and all will be revealed in the finale

its a two part story next 2 weeks with not only the angels from "blink" back, river song is also back .

even the producers when auditioning karen didnt realise she was that tall until her final audition

any sources for the comment about them being that high cos karen is tall as i haven't seen that mentioned anywhere.....

it sounds like she does get married as there's an ep regarding being 5 years in the future giving birth....

RE: Dr Who
Think the new series is ticking along nicely. The theme is obviously gonna be about the cracks in time. Think its gonna finish with the daleks. Not sure about the doctor and river getting married in the future could be another dimension thing like with rose.

RE: Dr Who
A typical filler episode, this one. A shame to see the Daleks used as filler, but since they're the most recognisable villains in the show, they're always going to be the go to when an episode is following on from a slower storyline like last week with the Star Whale. It was fun to see Ian McNiece playing Churchill, a part he's very well suited for, despite usually playing people who are far more slippery and oily.

It might just be me, but I thought The Doctor was quite subdued in tonight's episode. Possibly because this is the first episode penned by someone who isn't Steven Moffatt - as well as being the first to be aired, so most likely the first script which needed to be turned in ready to shoot -, so the writer (the very gifted Mark Gatiss) played it cautious and mostly kept The Doctor on safe ground, from a dialogue point of view. Much like David Tennant's first series in the role, this might end up being a common theme throughout the series until the spec writers have had a chance to gauge where Matt Smith's strengths as an actor lie.

Next week it goes back to a Steven Moffatt penned script, so The Doctor should be a lot more vibrant again. There's also the presence of at least two strong female characters with the return of River Song, as well as the presence of Amy, so things should perk up a lot more from that. Say one thing about Moffatt, he likes to write strong willed, intelligent, capable and witty women. The presence of the Weeping Angels will help immeasurably as well. For my mind, far and away the scariest villains to appear in a tea time family entertainment show.

"You say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. I say that I tailor my jokes to the audience..."
