Megaupload

I only have free accounts with megaupload and rapidshare.
I use linux so don't use any of their special managers.
I usually get max download speed, ~400KB/s with megaupload, depending on the time of day, unlike the restricted speed of rapidshare downloads.
Upload speed is the same on both, 60KB/s, but my firefox browser is totally frozen/locked up while uploading to megaupload until the upload is finished.

i dont like megaupload, the pops up are annoying, the fact half the time you cant download from there is annoying, and the uploads i have tried tend to crash a lot.

so i just pay the 6 pound for rapidshare which is the better service imo

Typical MegaUpload Glitchyness, during peak times I'm afraid. The trouble is Rapidshare are no better, and a bit more temperamental at removing vids. Which is why I use MegaUpload, I have not had a single vid removed by them yet.

I rechecked the link, and it worked for me. So I can only suggest you keep trying.

MegaUpload is total CRAP!........There must be better file hosting sites out there? Not only is this site unreliable, you have to pay for faster download too.

Not exactly the right thread for this, but I'll respond anyway. If a Moderator wants to move it elsewhere, then feel free to do so.

I tend to agree to a point.

There are plenty of file hosts out there : Rapidshare, Megaupload, Depositfiles, Sharingmatrix, Sendspace, Sharebee, the list is endless, but as most file hosting sites are the same, there's little option but to utilise what's available.

Yes, they all have there bad points, but we have to put up with them. Or we might as well not bother to share files at all. I prefer to continue sharing.

Hi guys, is anyone else having a problem with MegaUpload at present?

I just uploaded some video's into my account, but now I can't access my account to get the links!!!!.

The links to my previous posts still work, and I can gain access to MegaUpload through the links, but I don't seem to be to be able to access anything else from there. I can access there front page, but any links to my account just won't load.

It was working fine one minute, and then gone the next. Any idea's what's happened?

I was able to load the main page and log in earlier, now it just won't log in at all...five minutes have passed, so I give up
I'll try again later.

Same here at 6.40pm tonight.
No problems logging in or out, but could not get into the file manager with my stored files.
Waited a couple of minutes then gave up and logged out ok.

Just re-tried to access my file list again. Success this time Phew, for one moment there, I thought MegaUpload had screwed up every-one's account details.

Well it seems to all be working again now, although it's still a little slow.

It all worked normally for me, including the file manager and at full speed, when I uploaded a vid of Chelsea French this morning around 10am

Is anybody else having trouble downloading Josh's vids from MegaUpload. Keeps saying I have an "elevated number of requests from my IP" even when I leave it for an hour and try again???
