RE: Bluebird TV - Chat & Discussion
BLUEBIRD OFFICIAL , I am a Sky viewer but at times find it more convenient and private to watch the shows on freeview , so i would also like some info about the freeview show , you have previously stated that the freeview air time had already been purchased , so what are the hours the night shows will be transmitted , and what channel number will it be on ? . please don't say the hours you transmit on are yet to be decided as you must know because you have already purchased them , and i am guessing you will be in discussion with Cellcast about which one of their channel numbers on the freeview EPG you will transmit from , channel 99 or 90 perhaps ? .
Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

Freeview channel options are still under review.

Just as I suspected, given the contradictory posts by BBO littering the Bluebird threads.
See example below.

Then,

"Our job is to provide the best interactive adult entertainment formats we can within the law."
So, which is it?

some think that the writing on the side of it says "bluebird are gonna buy a majority stake in or buy out babestation".
I've been saying for a while there is a collusion between BB & CC, SKY 951 now reactivated, BB content (LIVE960) on days, CC content (PARTYLAND) on nights, at odds with everything else that's been said.
On a slightly different pitch, watching the various callgirl shows, there always seems to be staff shortages, so some while ago I think the figure of 100 girls in total on BB shows was mentioned, which would be enough to staff all the present callgirl shows, so having poached a lot of the talent from some of the other shows + absorbing from programmes bought, where are the rest coming from?.....my guess is from Czech Republic.
Now BBOfficial, you never responded to my accolade from a while ago, that your day job is either politician or lawyer....you always reply to questions but seldom answer.
Not a single Czech girl on UK Bluebird Television. There will be lots of Czech and Hungarian and other Euro pornstars and CKM girls our EuroTV channel, which will launch later in the year here and in Europe.
We've stated openly that we have an agreement with Cellcast.
There is no answer to your accolade question as Bluebird Official is the company voice, used by lots of different Bluebird company contributors: just like the BB Blog.
I fully expect Bluebird to comply with Ofcom regulations and U.K. law, I've never expected anything else.
But it's in their own interest to be clear and precise about the type of content they intend to broadcast. Massaging expectations by responding ambiguously to certain posts and discussions about content strength and type and then lowering expectations by responding in detail to other posts and discussions by saying their output will be fully compliant with Ofcom regulations, helps no-one, least of all Bluebird.
Given Ofcom's obsessive and over-zealous attitude to enforcement, inspite of previous claims that they would take an arms length and relaxed approach to enforcement, it will be interesting to see how Bluebird can broadcast an 18 rated live tv show simulcast as a R18 webstream and remain in compliance.
The babe channel sector is in dire need of a shake-up. Hopefully Bluebird's arrival will play a part in that and also increase competition. So, I wish them well and hope their already announced channel formats and styles turn out to be accurate.
However, their inability or unwillingness to challenge the prohibition on R18 material raises questions about how robustly they will stand up to regulation. In time they may find themselves outflanked by Ofcom.
When dreams can be archived to DVD we will all become pornstars.

This is unfair. We are being completely clear about the content and levels and formats.
Let's say it again:
Live free to air: Ofcom standards apply
Live encrypted: Ofcom 18 - but not R18 - standards apply
Web streams: not subject to Ofcom jurisdiction = R18 permissable
What expectations does that massage ? Obviously: none. It is clear. It is unambiguous.
We're not going to go into the old chestnut about 'why oh why won't someone do something about Ofcom's broadcasting code': that's a completely different issue. We've posted and re-posted our views on that and there is nothing new to say.
We're glad you're looking forward to the new channels.
