as a scottish footy fan i've always wondered wot u english guys really think of our football

I'm Northern Irish and I think Scottish football is just above the levels of monkey tennis we call football over here. This is based on my numerous experience of getting to watch Dunfermline and Stirling Albion over the past 6 or 7 years. I think the bigot brothers from the Old firm would just about be able to hold their own in the English Premier League.

true spider monkey, im scottish myself and grew up with the SPL, now live in B'ham and support City, and it is better tbh, even the championship, i liked hibs, aberdeen and falkirk, and hamilton have been good too. Motherwell were great last season, but this season jus capitulated lol

iam from Scotland IE Glasgow and i think the spl is a good league and if the old firm got in to the premier league it would take about 2/5 years for us to win the English Premier League. no joke i do think that iam a Celtic fan and not a BIGOT being going to games for 15 years now and both Celtic and rangers would be able to hack it no bother in premier league stop watch teams like Dunfermline and Stirling Albion and come and watch a good team like celtic the spl is a much better league than the Irish league i have beam to ireland a lot cos my woman is Irish and have watch the football over there you get some goods games over there as well

Bree you are dilusional mate. 2-5 years for one of the old firm to win the the premiership? You're kidding yourself on there pal. "SPL is a good league"? bullshit, its ridiculous. The reason you think it's a good league is because your team has won it for the last 3 years running! The points difference at the top of the league every season is terrible. Put it this way, if I was English.... I'd be laughing at us. Try being a Hearts fan for fuck sake!

PS. If you are English and would like to laugh at the SPL, please feel free to do so. I would really like to know your opinions.

I am English but from the West Country so nearly a Celt! I think the 'Big Two' would do OK in the Premiership as in 'Mid table' safety.When there is an English/Scottish tie in the CL the Scot's always raise their game,even though the Big Two contain mostly foreigners(as do the English!) and the English usually play a subdued game and the old arguments rage about them joining the Premiership and maybe winning it.There are only about 4 English sides in the Premiership that can win it so I don't think Rangers or Celtic could win the Premiership unless they win it in the first season in a blaze of glory.Just looking at the Premiership now almost all of the teams have the ability to beat the other and there is no guarantee of a win.As an outside observer the SPL does seem to have some 'Auto 3 points' games for the Big Two and that sometimes flatters them.
What I do miss from the SPL is the constant supply of great players they used to bring to the English league.In the 80's every top flight side had at least 2 Scottish players,where have they all gone?
So,bottom line is,who knows? It would be a great experiment but as we have seen already FIFA don't like the Premiership being as big and as popular as it is already without millions of passionate Scots getting in on the act!

lol dilusional is is a great word coming from a hearts fan.no shit mate 2/5 years for Celtic and rangers more so Celtic to be chanllaging for the premiership a great exanple is Aston v look where they are at in the league sitting 4th 6/7 points a way from man u and there is only 3/4 point between Liverpool and chelsea and the rest of the them may be 10 points give or take a few away if you have the right manager in your team and the players fighting for each other any thing is possible..the spl i think is a good league you where not saying it was a ridiculous league when harts came 2nd a few years ago it was a good league then
