What has upset the apple cart somewhat is that Blackpool, West Brom and Newcastle have started reasonably well. If they all continue in that vein then a lot of clubs will have good reason to panic including my own. I suspect Wigan and Blackpool will drop and then its any one from 6 or 7. I just pray its not my lot.

No club has a divine right to remain in the premier league, previous history means nothing….bad teams get relegated!

RE: Who's going down this season?
More than one side has come up, played some decent stuff and got a few results early in the season, then faded badly and plummeted down the standings from mid-October onwards, eventually ending up in the drop zone. Look no further than Burnley last season. As much as I like Ian Holloway, enjoy visiting the town whenever possible and admire the team's attitude and determination to keep playing the game in as attacking a manner as possible, I just can't see Blackpool sticking it out in the long term.

For my other two choices (Wigan and West Ham, for those who can't be bothered clicking to the previous page), again it's a case of sides who try to play the game in the so-called "correct" manner*, but I honestly think both sides lack the quality throughout the squad to do so effectively. The problem I envisage for them, is being outclassed by the better sides and outmuscled by the sides around them.

RE: Who's going down this season?
Surely Everton will come good eventually and get themselves up the table. The blue side of Merseyside always starts slowly, it was the same last season. Their players are too talented to remain in the bottom three for much longer - David Moyes is sweating now, but he should still have faith in his players, its no fluke they finished in Europe before. Smile

Liverpool are struggling under the new regime, and all the problems behind the scenes are hindering them. Gerrard keeps rescuing them at the moment, and I admire Torres' quick thinking yesterday for running onto the loose ball from Turner. The Merseyside derby should be interesting when that comes around. Smile

Blackpool, Newcastle and (it hurts me to say it...) Albion have started very well. All three teams are better than the three that went down last season, so all three have a chance of survival. Its still very early to judge, but Wigan's home form is abysmal and West Ham may have won yesterday but struggle to score goals. bladewave

A few other teams including my own are shaking a bit... Sad Not for want of trying, and today's game against Villa was a good game. In fact you could argue that Wolves deserved to win at least two out of the last three games, and the performances have been good... but its results that matter... gotta win next two against Wigan and West Ham before the potentially soul destroying games we've got against Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd at the end of next month. eekeekeek

Seriously people Liverpool are NOT gonna get relegated from the premier league, i know some of you think it's funny to be honest so do i & i'm a passionate red but those of you who think it's gonna happen need to be realistic (& yes this does go both ways) there's only 6 games gone come on seriously!!! Yeah yeah Leeds, West Ham, Newcastle, those with any realistic knowledge & point of view (Yes i'm talkin of a small number & they know who they are) will agree!!!

If RBS choose to call in the debt, which maybe unlikely considering there's a bid been accepted, but say they do & we get 9pts deducted then this will leave us 10pts away from safety with 31 games left thats 93 points, i'm pretty sure we'll get at least 54 of those points which will give us 51pts, 9th place of last seasons premier league.

Yes it's comical but realistically we are not gonna go down, if you think so then get real chief!!!... I'm guessing your a Manc Kyadillah....
