you must be never nieve then if you really think that, as some people are very offended by sex on tv and glamour modelling.

I think you probably missed the point. By far the majority of people will NOT be offended by such material and if they where it would be awfully foolish to be watching an adult channel or any programme that gave clear warnings there would be content of a sexual nature.

There is a minority of people out their who actively campaign about this type of stuff. It doesn't take very many of them to sit down and watch one of these programmes and find something they can complain about. It is this MINORITY that of com seem to take notice off above all else.

However, it is not one of naivety, it is one of democracy. Imagine going to the polls in and election and one of the party had a landslide victory at the polls and the Queen decided to put in the party with the lowest votes. Would that seem fair?

If people are offended, there is a solution, it's called to off swtich.

RE: New Ofcom Rules
Rctv do you ever even read anyone elses posts!
Ofcom has spent tax payers money on a survey which came to a conclusion that ordinary people are not offended by sex on tv and then went and dismissed the survey and carried on with `THERE OWN` ideals of what we can or can not watch.
Are you sure you dont work for Ofcom?

I do.

The survey about sex on tv was not about the adult industry, it was about sex scenes on tv shows and about how people felt about them and not about the babe channels.

and I can say the same thing do you about reading posts, I've said that I did work for ofcom.

I'm not going to answer that as that comparison is stupid and wouldn't even call it a comparison, as a general election doesn't involve complaints.

Ofcom go on complaints by people about rules that are broken, so they investigate them.

There is a difference between rule breaks, which are reported, and people woh are offended. They don't have to be offended, to report a rule break.

No i'm not saying that. but a sex scene in 'non' adult tv is very different to a sex scene in adult tv, and the survey wasn't on adult tv.

No matter how we bitch and moan about Ofcom, fuck all will change because that is the reality of a company backed by the government. What it comes down to is politics and we all know that politics is a load of bollocks.

RE: New Ofcom Rules
Saying that, I would be very suprised if there any as major as the rules that have just been put in, think they will crack down even more on channels not playing ball, which is good, and which they currently do, and people moan that they are doing they're job.
