Well said Money_Shot. You do realise that by being fair and balanced you are letting the side down and unless you have some one eyed bitterness in the future I'm going to ignore your posts. Wink

I've never got this if you don't live within twenty miles of the ground then you can't support the team. Like I've never got Man United fans taking the piss out of Liverpool because there might be a few Norwegians at their home games. As you say it must cost a fortune, week in week out.

Or Liverpool fans talking the piss out of Surrey fans supporting Man United. Again it costs a fortune.

It's not the 1950's when it cost a few pence to get in and local media reported solely on local teams. Shit, we all know there are places on the internet these days where you can watch any game you want.

Although saying that when Derek Mountfield who was part of Everton title winning sides in the 1980's I did feel it had more significance as I had played with him for school teams and in local youth leagues for six years.

In fact if it wasn't for me making him he player he was Everton would never have won the title. I'm still waiting for my winner's medal. Wink

It does make me laugh when the scousers call Chelsea and United fans glory hunters when, statistically speaking, Liverpool have more glory hunters in their fanbase than any other team

And by the way that is actually a...

Honestly??....Ronnie Whelan, Jim Beglin & Mark Lawrenson. Three great Irish internationals playing on the same team at the same time. A rarety back then. They were followed quickly by Aldridge, Houghton and Staunton a couple of years later.

My father was a Celtic fan but was more into rugby so i cant claim his influence made me a LFC fan, however his 3 brothers and his father (my grandfather) were all LFC supporters so it was part down to them too. that's as honest as i'll get on a babeshow internet forum. I dont actually see why i need to justify why i support Liverpool to anyone or why it matters where i come from. It doesnt make me less of a fan than someone living on the Walton breck Road!!!

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

RE: Football Banter
I live in the mid-west of Ireland. For a good few years i got over to Anfield to see Liverpool play a half dozen times a year. The last 2 seasons i've got over just 4 times each season due to being out of work etc. To spend 2 nights in Liverpool it costs at least 300 euros everytime (flights, match ticket and hotel accomodation). That's before i touch a drop of booze or feed myself (which brings it up beyond the 500 euro mark each time). That'll give you guys an idea of the cost for a fan like myself who doesnt live within the acceptable radius of the teams stadium that some guys think makes us less of a fan. To spend upwards of 3,000 quid a season to go see your team a handful of times is pretty damn good in my opinion and makes me every bit a fan as someone living a few hundred yards from the ground and holds a season ticket!!!

Edit: As you are not in the euro i thought i'd help out....EUR3,000 @ the current exchange rate is equal to GBP £2,616Wink

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

Again, it's from the famous Rembrandt painting and depicts militia men not pirates.

It is also known as the The Shooting Company of Frans Banning Cocq which to English ears is a funny name.

This is Willem van Ruytenburch and not Johnny Depp.

I hate having to explain everything to peasants like you.

Use Google and educate yourself. Wink
