RE: X Factor 2011
It's a form of entertainment and a tv show, you not liking it doesn't make it pointless!
& fans of shows you don't like don't make them the type of people that 'need to get out more' - it's a tv show that is hugely popular that you don't like, so get over it and don't post in this thread if you don't like it

Its basucally a tv version of the local pub karaoke night for the plastic pop generation that has a stranglehold on the media in this country.Wheres the equivalent for up and coming rock bands who have struggled for years with no recognition, wheres the originality and creativity.Forget that its not about finding new talent its about finding mediocre singers to mold into cash generators for a short time then drop them and move on to the next. Last years winner (whos name I cant remember, and thankfully has disapeared without trace) even had the sheer nerve to take a Biffy Clyro song full of personal emotion and passion, drain all that out and turn it into a bland dirge. They couldn't even get the title right thats how thick they are!
my point exactly!
"Don't quote me on that"
People say, "I was born ready" with me, it's like, I wasn't born ready, but like 10 minutes after, I'm kind of ready-ish...
all views are my own... someone told me to say that and I thought it was a good idea

The music industry has been poor for a long time, will the same old generic dance music crap or musicians such as Lady Gaga etc coming out of nowhere and spewing out tons of the same old garbage which is only popular because she is 'eccentric' (it's because she's Illuminati)
I do sympathise with you regarding rock music, they don't seem to get mainstream enough, and some acts are brilliant. But the ones that do break through often conform eventually anyway (Paramore off the top of my head), as labels want them to sell records, and be and act in a certain (Illuminati) way, rather than be true to themselves.

I would have just agreed with the whole of what dirtbag said, but I don't agree with this. I hate the stupid auditions, because they are exploiting people who are obviously not with it 100% or who are actors. I like the idea of unearthing a new singing sensation like Leona, but the issue these days with the show is that its too often the same kind of person that wins, and there's too much focus on the drama backstage between the contestants and with the judges
