Look at Plymouth Argyle fans and count your self lucky. Get behind your team and support them, this is when they need there fans most.

Just what I was about to say, well in a much nicer way though Wink

Its a new era for Arsenal. They've lost a lot of quality players, and are starting to bring the new youngsters in. Its going to take time for them to come good, don't expect anything too special this season. Plus the Gunners don't have the finances at the moment to compete with the others.

Its exciting for the future though with so much young talent to develop. Plenty of reasons to still get behind your team, Narcissist. Wenger's got a really good knack of developing the youngsters in the right way.

With all due respect, what do you expect? Arsenal haven't improved in the areas where they have been weak for years and years. The decline was inevitable.... But on the flip side, what's to moan about really. You have had a tough start with injuries, suspensions and transfers, you are still a well run club playing Premiership football which is pleasing to the eye in one of the nicest grounds in the world. It isn't going to be Arsenals final position come May.

Look at Plymouth Argyle fans and count your self lucky. Get behind your team and support them, this is when they need there fans most.

Well I would support them if they actually listened to WHAT THE FANS WANT SINCE THEY PAY THE FUCKING BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We should have replaced the out going fabregas and nasri and clichy with other top quality players and should not have done this last minute either. We knew fabregas and nasri were both lost causes so we should have cut them loose earlier and got quality replacements quick. Realistically Arsenal should have bought quality players every season in the summer to keep up with Man U and Chelsea, but Arsenal did nothing. Year after year, we were promised with that the team has the potential to win something next season. Yet the fans continued to support Arsenal and the board whilst Arsenal fell into decline. This season's results is the straw that finally broke the camel's back.

I know it is less than 10 games but seriously it will be a miracle if Arsenal make it to the top 4 at the end.

Funny that mate, because a lot of people said the same thing when Henry, Viera, Gilberto, Pires etc all left with a few seasons. Yet the team grew up and won nothing. I see a repeat coming on......

I was trying to make you feel a bit better about things mate. Obviously you're not happy with your team and its understandable after the first few games.

I mean I'm really depressed about going to the Molineux at the moment. OK yesterday was more to their keeper playing a blinder and the ref screwing us over, but I understand what you mean - it gets me down having to keep going there and seeing them lose.

And to top it all off I've just put FIFA 12 (newly bought today) in the PS3 and was well angry with the shit quality of detail and gameplay.

Overall, I'd say this has been a fooking horrible weekend. SadSad

I agree with you there. The board and Wenger have let the fans down massively by bringing in good players to replace quality players (with perhaps the exception of Clichy) Both Fabregas and Nasri were key players in Arsenals team, and the whole situation was poorly handled and left to the last minute.
Partly to blame I think was Barcelona as they were clearly not willing to stump up the money for Fabregas yet backed Arsenal into a corner as that was the only club he was willing to go to.

The replacements are good players, but when you think Arsenal stalled on signing Mata who ended up going to Chelsea in the end and other targets like Hazard might now be out of Arsenals reach if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

I do wonder how much Arsene Wenger has his hands tied behind his back. surely he can see that the players he has aren't to the standard they lost. But he can't say nothing, just get on with it.

As for the fans paying the bills, it is hard to argue otherwise when going to watch Arsenal is on average £60 a go.

Keep the faith Narcissist. Every football fan can understand your frustration.

RE: Football Banter
So the England squad has been announced....

Goalkeepers - Scott Carson (Bursaspor), Joe Hart (Man City), David Stockdale (Ipswich)

Defence - Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Bolton), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Phil Jones (Man Utd), Micah Richards (Man City), John Terry (captain, Chelsea), Kyle Walker (Tottenham)

Midfield - Gareth Barry (Man City), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Adam Johnson (Man City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Man City), Scott Parker (Tottenham), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Ashley Young (Man Utd);

Strikers - Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), Danny Welbeck (Man Utd), Bobby Zamora (Fulham)

I can't believe Carroll has been given the nod over Sturridge. Surprised

Bit surprised my boy Zamora is in it as well, but not gonna complain! Shocked Sturridge isn't in it and even more shocked Barry is!...does anyone actually think he is any good?
