So the playoffs were announced as:

Estonia vs Ireland
Turkey vs Croatia
Bosnia vs Portugal
Montenegro vs Czech

(I got one guess right!)

From that, I see Ireland, Turkey, Portugal and Czech going through, though would love to see Bosnia in there!

Also, turns out Rooney has been handed a 3 match ban, which will be good for the squad, as others will be tried out from now until the competition, and I think we will cope, and I reckon Rooney will still be in the squad.

Only kiddin'. With near on a full season to go, we do have, for a change a choice of strikers and ones with different attributes. If Welbeck can push on, if Strurridge can carry on his form and get a chance, Defoe might find form and the back of the net again. Carroll could well settle and show good form, D.Bent has a habbit of scoring goals. All different sorts of players there and with a friendly against Sweden announced 3 days after the Spain game two good chances to try out different systems and formations and players.

Let's hope Crappello takes a gamble and brings in some hungry players.

Spot on with Ashley Young though, he can fill the void and Downing can go on the left side.

Adam Johnson should play instead of Downing!

AJ Should be included, although I prefer him on the right if I am being honest.

For a split second I thought you meant AJ of Fulham! Bobby Zamora will get a shout too, but I personally don't think he deserves it.

Something like that, but all depends on form really. I would rather pick the 11 most in form players then the 11 best players on paper.

well he has 5 games to come up with a plan b c if plan A doesnt work i would go for crouch over bent and zamora least he is tested at international level and is banging them in at stoke again
