That depends on your point of view. Personally I have no interest in the webshows. I know some will find that hard to get their heads around considering the moaning I do about what I'm not allowed to see on the tv because of Ofcom, but that's my point in a nutshell. The exact same 'kids' they're professing to be protecting with their guidlines can go and find whatever they want online.
Yes, we have hardcore babeshows online, but that doesn't change the fact that we have these kunts at Ofcom telling us we're not allowed to see the details of the female naked form.

RE: What is now the point of these channels.
I'm now beginning to ask this question more and more these days, 2012 and yes these channel's are changing, they are getting tamer as each passing night goes by, take Elite for exampe, formally the best channel of the lot, now simply abysmal, also at present we have channel's 920 and 921 showing nothing but adverts, so I see no would be channel is interested in buying into the market these days and why would they, it's expensive enough running a business without having Ofcom to contend with too, every channel at current is operating on fear of upsetting the censor's and it's showing, my guess is at the moment all the focus is on survival rather than challenging the power's that be, the only people that seem to give a fuck about the situation is the 512 who have signed the petition and that's not enough to be kicking down doors and demanding change. Tonight is yet another dull night which is now becoming the norm, these channels have given in to Ofcom and are every bit as submissive as a dog is to it's master. I can't imagine the volume of call's is all that great either. Since I've joined this forum I've debated just about every single possible scenario on how the Ofcom problem could be worked around, but's I've come to the conclusion these days that it's all a waste of time when none of the channel rep's have even had the ball's to come on this thread to outline their plans on what they have or what they are doing to remedy the situation. We can discuss this all until the cow's come home but if the channel's themselves are happy to stumble along then what possible influence could we have other than the petition which has only been half heartingly looked at by the majority on this forum

And therein lies the problem. As a handful of us on here keep saying - seemingly to deaf ears - the channel producers are only interested in making money. This they're obviously doing in bucketloads, despite everyone's protestations that they're losing money and calls are drying up. I see no evidence of this 'drying up' of calls and no one has yet been able to explain to me why they think the channel producers should risk everything at a time when things are ticking over for them very nicely. Why else do you think they have no interest in coming on here to discuss things?
And this is not me being a turn-coat - believe me I want change as much as the next man - but until Ofcom's current regulations threaten their business, we're not going to see it.
There are simply too many viewers content with what they're getting, happy to keep calling and texting the shows.
We're outnumbered, and on a far bigger scale than any of us would like to admit.

You come across as a total wimp. Why not think positive and start your own political party, get elected to office and then put a bill before parliament to abolish Ofcom. Maybe the flaw in your thinking is in expecting the channels to do all the work on your behalf?
Admiral, that has to be one of the most ridiculous, pointless, childish, uncalled for and inaccurate posts I think I've ever read. "Start your own political party, get elected to office and then put a bill before parliament." Forgive me, I didn't realise this problem could be resolved quite so easily
Thinking about it, would it not be easier to just become King of England and then he'd have even more power?

There is a precedent. I'm not a football fan, but nevertheless I recall a few years ago that Charlton Athletic FC supporters wished the club to return to it's former home, The Valley, but this was blocked by the local council. They then formed their own political party, the Valley Party, and at their first attempt won 11% of the vote and were then able to force the issue. As I said, you have to think in a positive way if you want to bring about change.
